I'm interested to learn what this will mean in practice. We didn't even put the Taliban on that list until like 2010, and it took until 2012 to add the Haqqanis. And... we apparently still give MILLIONS to the Taliban. WTAF.

I would say it was much more “less”. Being soft and sympathetic to a President is a lot different than a President saying he himself is a king in any context.

Considering we had a war to punt a king out of our country, that was in pretty poor taste, but on brand for Trump. End of the day it triggered a bunch of people and probably distracted them from something else like his comments on Russia and the Ukraine or whatever.

Meh. If people are losing their minds now they will be exhausted in 1-2 years.
