The Trump Presidency 2.0

Considering we had a war to punt a king out of our country, that was in pretty poor taste, but on brand for Trump. End of the day it triggered a bunch of people and probably distracted them from something else like his comments on Russia and the Ukraine or whatever.

Meh. If people are losing their minds now they will be exhausted in 1-2 years.

I would say it was much more “less”. Being soft and sympathetic to a President is a lot different than a President saying he himself is a king in any context.
If I could offer... it's a meme meant to trigger liberals that get offended easily? He also posted an AI-generated image of himself as a gangster, I am reasonably sure he isn't also Al Capone in a pinstripe suit, but again, I guess we can only guess as to his true intent.

I have a super simple comparison for Obama and Trump- Trump makes memes. Obama used his singular authority to kill an American citizen via drone strike. So, yeah, orange man bad brown man v v beholden to the office and it's standards and norms. And the TLDR (see what I did there?!) on the article linked can be summed up thusly- "No, I won't tell you why and you can go FY."- President Obama, who's only scandal was a tan suit that one time.

The world you're pining for doesn't exist. Just have fun in this timeline, it's great.

This.

ETA- Trump was not only wrong, but wrong headed on the Russia/Ukraine comments. Huge miss. Talking about free and fair elections in Ukraine while ignoring Russia was pretty bad. And saying "Ukraine started the war" was just incorrect.

Rand is also out of pocket. Russia is the enemy.

Russia started this war not in 2020, but in 2014 when "separatists" were allowed to seize the Donbas. Because Russian Sympathizers were all over the Ukrainian Electorate and they elected a dude that said one thing and then immediately dropped his trou and his invited Putin in. Then he used the national police to fight the people after he turned away from joining the EU, it could have been completed in a matter of months.

Yanukovych is a Russian stooge like Snowden, nothing more nothing less. The more Russia bleeds, the better it is for us.

This war would have ended a long time ago if European countries stopped buying Russian LNG. It would have been interesting had Ukraine cut the pipelines that run through their country or at least shut them off. Maybe that would have led to escalation but not sure how much further you can go with this stuff outside of going all chemical and nuclear.
