The Trump Presidency 2.0

Nothing to see here.

Judge Boasberg somehow got "randomly selected" (that's how federal cases are assigned) to oversee the nothingburger Signal issue. Here's a quick history of his rulings/actions-

1) FISA Court Judge during issuance of Carter Page FISA.

2) Reviewed/Approved James Comey’s memos prior to release in 2018.

3) He oversaw the release of Clinton emails in Hillary’s case back in 2016.

4) Gave FBI Lawyer Kevin Clinesmith probation for lying to the FISA Court by fundamentally altering a CIA email that exonerated Carter Page.

5) Appointed Mary McCord (ran NSD at DOJ/Gen Flynn) as amicus curiae advisor to the FISA court—AFTER McCord played a material role in personally misleading the FISA Court in the Page FISA.

6) Involved in the Ray Epps case, giving Epps probation while calling Epps and his wife “victims” of conspiracy theories.

7) Presided over 70+ J6 cases. Imposed excessive prison time even for minor offenses—including a breast cancer victim. Said the law wasn’t harsh enough to punish J6ers the way he wanted—despite his blatant leniency for Epps.

8) Took time out to personally attend Trump’s DC trial, seemingly just for the enjoyment of it.

9) Family (Wife/Sister/Daughter) deeply involved in liberal NGOs.

10) Wife is the founder of an abortion NGO funded by USAID grants.

11) Daughter works for NGO (Partners for Justice) funded by USAID grants that offers legal aid to illegal immigrants—including members of MS-13 and Tren de Aragua.

"There is no deep state"- @Marauder06 , sarcastically.
No deep state, and no sex in the champagne room.

NONE.

Chris Rock said so.

Who is the injured party?
What a fantastic question!

The judge. The judge alone, in these cases against the admin, is acting as the injured party. There is no legal precedence for these types of challenges, and "judicial review" of EO's is well outside of the scope of this judge's authority.

The USG funding illegal narcotics is nothing new, all DOGE did was shed light on the latest iteration.

We had a guy on our contract who left the DEA/ Dyncorp program designed to destroy poppy fields. They couldn't even allude to poppy production increasing despite the program's gazillion dollar funding.

This was very much a thing during the war in Afghanistan. We paid lip service to poppy eradication, as did the Taliban. In fact, back in the day the Taliban were lauded for "cracking down on the opium trade."

lol, they weren't cracking down, they were eliminating the competition and monopolizing the industry. Supply and demand, bitches.

There was much hullaballoo about US-led eradication efforts during the war. "But you'll destroy those peoples' livelihoods!!" You mean the people making some of the most addictive and destructive shit in the world and who are deliberately or through extortion supporting the Taliban? Uh... good?

Why couldn't we have just trained them to make poppy seed muffins instead?

I'm just glad these patriotic judges are filing so many lawsuits - this way when POTUS ignores them and the democrats get a few more seats in the house they can impeach him - again - for abuse of power - again.

"Boy, is this great !!"

My friend's dad was on that contract for a while. Pretty simple to run a quad through the crop dragging a rigged up 2x4, voila, no heroin. They didn't do that many times.

The things he had to say were interesting.

Ah yes, the old playbook.

1- Replacement theory is a xenophobic, bigoted conspiracy theory. It's not happening.
2- Ok, we admit that "demographics are destiny", and while we support it, it's not what you're making it out to be.
3- We support it, we need it to happen- but the real problem is that you're noticing it. REPUBLICANS POUNCE AGAIN!
3- FINE! Yes, we are trying to give non-citizens the right to vote. Still, it has nothing to do with our tanking approval or the fact that we've alienated anyone close to "moderate." If we don't allow non-citizens to vote, we will never win another election again. It's so important we have to sue you over voter ID.
(You are here)

On a different note, alleged lizard person and factual bringer of doom to the best US state in the union (Cali) Gavin Newsom has been sprinting towards the middle in hopes of a 2028 run, despite what he will tell you (because he's a liar with no compunction). His record alone in San Francisco and as the Governor of California should cause the output of retiring in shame and obscurity for the rest of his life, however, that's not how this game works.

I've listened to his podcast, it's retarded. That's not the point.

The point is- he's committing the worst possible crime one can commit on his side of the aisle- apostasy. Watching the left react to his "platforming" of Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon has been hilarious. Gavin may fool some low-IQ/low-order voters with this new move, but like the rest of the left, he's about 5 years too late to start a podcast and his messaging even gets flamed by CNN and other mainstream outlets.

As always, the lesson is that the left absolutely cannot meme, and their inability to grasp the social/new media space while desperately trying to distance themselves from the Democrat boiler plate platform issues is giving comedy.

+2, continue.

It seems that the people who think they may have a legit shot at national office in competitive future elections are breaking from extremism and feigning centrality. Joe Biden did it.

But at the same time, I think that a lot of people on the left are, like the rest of America, tired of the extreme left's bullshit over things like BLM, DEI, defund the police, etc., and are kind of breathing a sigh of relief that they can blame a return to sanity on Orange Man Bad and his evil supporters.

The real question I get to when I read your comment- is the left durable enough to fracture? The Democrats have always been great in one regard where Republicans aren't- they coalesce without question when told to.

Republicans are notorious for multiple factions and bloody primaries and infighting (that's the most gracious I can be for all those morons). The Democrats, however, have very rarely had to deal with multiple factions of folks along the spectrum of party lines, probably the only notable exception is the Blue Dog Dems of a time gone by.

The polling all points to the majority of folks on the left desperately wanting them to go further left, which is completely disconnected with the rest of America. The squad, Hakeem Jeffries, Schiff, et al are HIGHLY resistant to anyone breaking ranks or even pretending that they would allow any politician to drift toward the middle- and the second they do, they attack their own vociferously.

Case in point- people are floating an AOC/Crockett ticket for '28. That's not a joke. I mean, it is a joke, but it's not fake.

That's a relatively recent phenomena, not historical. That really rooted in the 70s.

I think the one thing you can count on most rational people to do in most circumstances is to act in their own self-interests. The Democrats know that elections have consequences. They know that they are being held hostage by a very vocal and very active minority--an extreme minority even within their own party. And those extremists are going to cost them election after election.

You specifically cited Newsome as an example, but we see others; DC's mayor covering up BLM plaza. Salt Lake City knocked down a George Floyd memorial. Too many companies to mention are scaling back support of both DEI and LGBTQ+.

Things finally got Bad Enough (tm) for enough people in America that they rejected the left and through their lot in with Trump.

What Trump and the right needs to do is to make sure things don't get Bad Enough (tm) for the pendulum to swing the other way. Make enough people mad enough, and not only will the right lose bigly in the midterms, but will also find themselves blocked at every turn and losing the next presidential election.

This is a very perilous position for him. Already we have some Republicans saying, "yeah, I want DOGE, but they're going too far." True he's been on the job 'only' 100 days, at some point we'll see if all of this works, or not. If not...
