Couple that output with the reporting that Trump put the ole kaibosh on a pending joint strike with the Israelis to Iran's nuclear sites in favor of diplomacy, and it looks like the president just earned himself a lil McDonald's treat.

Nah.. Same concept though. The one the DOGE took over is the one for the that dealt with the website, but it was made out of the same thing I think two years later. I worked with a few of the DDS folks in 2022 and still talk to a couple of them. It's similar to what my wife did as a Presidential Innovation Fellow. This is interesting because the majority of these actors are liberal as hell and they influence a lot of people to be liberal as hell...but you know what? The things that liberals tend to vote for en masse, well they don't actually want.
They want it for everyone else. They are largely insulated from the consequences so hey, why should they care?

Just a thought - but if the initial report was true - then one might also think that a lot of the infighters - as well as the SecDef - should be getting replaced.
"Infighting" within the DOD would also have to be exclusively a byproduct of either resistance to the administrations agenda or an active campaign of "malicious compliance" with the administrations agenda.
It seems obvious to me that the ENTIRE reason for Trump putting Hegseth was primarily to serve as a disrupter to the current status quo. Disrupters almost always come with "infighting" - it is the very nature of putting a disrupter into a position.
...just a casual biased emotional partisan observation and in no way represents facts or critical thinking.

Please don't include the fact that this single-sourced anonymous reporting comes on the heels of Hegseth finding leakers and shit-canning them. They aren't whistleblowers, they didn't engage the appropriate channels- whoever the single anonymous source is leaked to the press, hoping some smooth-brained sycophants with TDS would take the bait. And here we are.
FWIW, the President described the newest sky-is-falling leaks and OUTRAGE as "a waste of time" and personally let Hegseth knows he stands behind him.
President Trump is the captain of a ship with a hostile crew; that's the story. But the breathless headlines are fun - it lets us know exactly who's who, and I'm here for it.
