Ehh. Overrated, ketamine. I just tried to smoke a dude a few weeks ago with K when he was in agitated delirium and not only did K not work with additional sedation and K, it made him worse. Lol

Oh, 100% he gets due process like anyone else.
I think that his consistent drug use and Chinese business connections are risky, not that he should get ICE'd back to South Africa and his company taken over.

Ketamine is an amazing drug in most contexts. It has amazing benefits for depression,PTSD, chronic pain, acute pain, and addiction treatment. I give it to just about everyone having surgery. Hemodynamically it has such a great safety profile.
+5 love Ketamine for patients.
Big claim ! Love the energy though, your terms are acceptable.
I agree that ICE should have wide ranging authority to deport anyone for any reason- even claims about drug use.

I’ve never seen anyone resist a 1mg/kg dose. However agitation and hallucinations are a side effect. If you use it with midaz, it is a profound anesthetic drug. It is our primary analgesic for open heart surgeries now. 0.2-0.5mg/kg/hr, and we now give about 1/4 of the Fentanyl we used to.
I don’t know what your max dose is, but you can give a lot of Ketamine with little to no risk depending on the catecholamine situation the patient is in.

How much to get to a k-hole?
300mg IV oughta do it (kidding that’s a shit ton but moderation is for cowards).
It's worked before, 4mg/kg IM, 2mg/kg IV.
We followed up with Versed, nothing. In trauma bag, he received Geodon and Haldol, notta.
Received 2mg/kg IV, additional versed, notta.
I dont know why they didn't RSI him. I'd love to know what his CPK/K was after all that. I imagine he was spilling K and myoglobin like a mo-frapper.
I've had other agitated delirium pts that were fighting buses, cops and pulling up concrete do just fine with K.
In fact, I learned that low dose is great for pain, as I presume you use. Im told mid dose just pisses them off and high dose puts em in K hole.
The ED doc was like, oh, just give him 5mg/kg. Ok doc, you do that, we'll follow protocols.
5mg/kg (500) or over.
Ole boy freaking out we had received almost 400 per our standing orders, never touched him. He was fucking possessed. I contemplated goggling up an exorcism prayer and reciting it.

Depends on how big you are and the route. IV I’d say 2-3mg/kg is probably gonna put you in a place that you don’t want to be and it is hard to escape from.
