The Trump Presidency 2.0

Wait a damn second. You're telling me that funny guy from The Naked Gun movie KILLED someone?!

Sad to see people will get their medical coverage cut. I am grateful for Medicare without it I would not have been able to afford my surgery and would have lost my whole kidney.

Who is getting their medical coverage cut? Specifically?
From what I’m reading, it’s going to hit a lot of people low-income families, older folks, rural hospitals. And yeah, I’m sure the Trump Corporation is trying to spin it like they’re just targeting “fraud,” and that it won’t affect anyone who really deserves it . But I trust the GOP with healthcare about as much as I trust the Democrats with 2A rights which is zero, and always will be zero.

The low-income families cohort is the largest area of fraud, waste, and abuse in the system. The talking point here is the SNAP program, where abuse is rampant. There may be index cases of low-income families being affected; there is breakage in every piece of legislation we do. It's not a zero sum game, it's a game of net positive and net negative.

Not sure what you mean by older adults or how they're impacted, the bill strengthens long-term care, efficiencies gained provide a healthier bottom line for seniors that need it, long-term care increased and focused, an increase in premiums is speculative at best, just a lie at worst.

Rural hospitals account for a total of 7% of spending (and that's how privatized hospitals generate revenue, by the way). There is actually a $25B subsidy for these hospitals to create jobs and offset the cuts.

To your bolded- do you mean Congress, Senate, and our elected officials? Republicans? Influencers? Who is in this Trump Corporation? I might apply. Everyone is going to spin and message, it's politics.

I have a myriad of issues with the BBB, for a lot of different reasons- but as I said before, the line of attack on medicare/medicaid is ham-handed fearmongering and misinformation from folks that haven't read it/understand it.

I’m actually a big proponent of enacting constraints on Medicaid and Medicare. They are enormously expensive. However I think a better way would be to penalize companies that employ a full time worker who still qualifies for these things. If you work full time, at say Wal Mart, who is the largest employer of people on SNAP and Medicaid, you should not need to be on Medicaid and SNAP.

All of these posts may be true but I have my OWN truth ----------------->

- FRAUD: when you eliminate billions in fraudulent government spending; you are taking money out of a hard working, motivated, creative, dishonest persons pocket

- WASTE: get rid of all the waste in our system; and you are putting people out of work - admittedly most of them are people with 'no show jobs' or government contract jobs that pay E8 pay for something an E4 did 20 years ago - but still, putting them out of work

- ABUSE: when you eliminate the systemic and wildly irresponsible abuse of our countless social programs, you are taking gourmet food out of a fat little rich babies mouth - because it ALWAYS about the children

- Eliminate fraud, waste, AND abuse and you are putting an entire class of people out of work that retired from the military so they could go to work as Fox/CNN News contributors...
...that fearmonger us into stratospheric levels of military spending
...to make up for all of the capabilities that we don't have so that we can compete with "the pacing threat"
...even though these same 'Military Consultants' just spent decades telling congress and the aMErican people that we were head and shoulders above anything that our 'near-peers' had to offer.

Just remember:
These people doing all of the frauding, wasting, and abusing are voters - just like the rest of us. The difference is, they can afford their own politicians.
I cannot.
So until I can afford my own politicians, here I am, routinely voting AGAINST the shittier of two shitty choices until some one comes along that I can gleefully vote FOR
And I'm not holding my breath.

Our governing body is full of pimps and whores...
...and bartenders
...and what exactly is anyone going to do about it?

Oh, like when McDonald's had an employee help line that Told fulltime employees how to apply for SNAP and Medicaid?

94 doctors were charged in the 300+.

There are a lot of fixes for our healthcare system; none of those are going to work until we root out the fraud that’s rampant in the system. Good for the DOJ for charging first and then having the press conference- $14.6B in Medicaid fraud.

Don’t talk to me about index cases or appeals to emotion until all the fraud is uncovered.

I only care about the numbers, but I wonder how many companies large and small alike will go out of business or bought out by a competitor? Some of those companies' business model is based on or profitable because of insurance fraud.

Kind of like the mob and casinos: Everyone expects and tolerates a little skim but people keep pushing and pushing...

Lots of these cases involved Europeans purchasing straw owner shell companies, then funneling the money through shell companies and crypto.

This is just the tip of the iceberg.

If New York wants that, let them see how it goes. No one has to live there. This is America.

In my profession there is routinely this push for us to be involved in other people’s local or state matters. My profession and Anesthesiologists go to war in states routinely and I get bombarded by pleas to write their reps or whatever. I have never once done so, and never will. It is literally none of my business what happens in New York, or Washington, or California. If the people vote in people to represent them, then they can bitch and moan. But here in NC, I do not give a singular fuck about the mayor of NYC. Posts about him also have nothing to do with President Trump,

Fuck NYers. Let em deal with the shit they vote for.

Frankly, anyone that blindly follows any politician, left or right are fucking idiots and I have ocean front property in Idaho to sell you.

GASP! How very un-empathetic of you both! How dare you not care what happens to your fellow Americans, some of whom are too poor to move! What's next, tell them to learn to code?! ;-)

Not a whisper of this on CNN.com. They didn't just bury it on the back page...they completely ignored it. Maybe one the many reasons why Fox News kicks CNN's ass in the ratings.
