I don't think it's funny, and I'd prefer our president not engage in this type of behavior. But after what people like Hillary Clinton did to our country over the last 10 years, and the things she/they got away with, I just don't care about it anymore.

10? I pondered this for a bit and think it really began under the Obama administration. EVERY president says dumb things, cringey things, eye-rolling quotes, and stuff that just flat pisses us off. They do things where we look at it then or looking back and think how we expect more from our leaders.

But it really took off under Obama. We saw hero worship on a different level, greater than anything under Reagan. That hero worship really brought out the worst in Americans because now you're racist if you oppose the president. We got the dumbass plumber, Hands up, Don't Shoot, Hillary Clinton who deserves a whole thread on her bullshit then and now, the ACA which was illegally passed into law, and whatever else I've forgotten to erode our country socially.

Enter Trump 1.0. I wasn't impressed with his style. You could see the brilliance behind some of his social media but would unfortunately devolve into frat house-esque behavior.

But Biden...that admin declared war on non-Leftists. Worse, we weren't just in the wrong, we became Nazis, racists, this -phobe or that -phobe, you couldn't disagree with ANY of their positions without being called a name. Worse, it wasn't name calling, it was a sincere belief that you were a subhuman, just trash. They weaponized social media and traditional media to levels bordering on or even eclipsing other -ist regimes over the years. To this day they feel empowered to continue the practices started under Obama. They created a divided America. They gave birth to this monster and they feed, house, and clothe that wretched beast to this day.

Do I prefer to see more of Trump's ability to be brilliantly presidential? Absolutely because we've seen it before. Now? When he posts something cringey I roll my eyes and move on because I guess that's what us Nazis are supposed to do. Or fascist? No, I'm a racist. A transphobe? I don't know who I'm supposed to be anymore other than wrong in their eyes.

And I just don't care.

I'd love for our presidents and members of Congress to live up to the idealistic view I had of them when I was I kid. Who wouldn't? But, perhaps more importantly, I'd also like for us to just be able to joke and laugh like we use to as well...not everything is so deep.

Essential Services are being performed. But several states including Arizona are suing because Federal funding for SNAP has been paused. 40M people on some type of food assistance.
