What? No, it won't affect me, period, ever. That's what I was led to believe.Won't impact you...yet.
@TLDR20, can you clarify here? I assumed your political theory of localized protection from national issues was *NOT* time-bound.

Virginia is a blue state and has been for a hot minute. Factor in a bunch of very mad NOVA people who work, or worked, in the bloated bureaucracy and this was always the inevitable result. That said, I still did my part and voted.
Speaking to the larger culture and the current MAGA slap fight...
I told y'all this is exactly what was going to happen. The moderates are dead, and young American males are marching steadfast to the right.
Nate is an early adopter. The rank and file come next.
"They have no idea what they've wrought".
Dude was telling people to vote against Trump. He's essentially a Democrat.
Who cares. He voted for Kamala.Lmfao, I don't think you're aware of Fuentes then.
He was anti-Trump because he's farther right; dude literally wants a Catholic Theocracy.
Who cares. He voted for Kamala.
I think you're making assumptions dude.
The guy pretty clearly said he was never voting for her and his hate for Trump was because he was (paraphrasing) "too submissive to the Jews".
Dude was telling people to vote against Trump. He's essentially a Democrat.
No, unless you voted for a Democrat. If you voted for a Democrat, you're a Democrat. I didn't vote for McCain, but I also didn't vote for the Democrat. Not voting for Trump makes you a Democrat?
That is some broken logic.
In this economy where the left is about mutilating children? We're in a war of survival. Not voting for Trump makes you a Democrat?

Using words like "war" within the topic of politics, makes you no better than radical leftists. Words have meaning, which is why the political violence from the left is happening. Inciting violence on the right will only ensure and actual civil war. The only solution is actual dialogue and getting people on both sides out of their bubbles.
Agree. I like the direction our military is heading under Trump, among other things. But Trump keeps talking about "prices are down on food and gas, etc." Nope, gas prices went down here just long enough for him to make that claim. Now gas prices are right back in Biden territory here. Prices at the grocery store are still off the hook. Eggs are not the only thing Americans buy, lol. I think people are worried more about their jobs and the economy and less on social issues now, but either way they want something to change...and as usual, they are given only two options.November 2026 will be a Blue Wave.
Republicans followed the same playbook they've been using for ages. They got power and have sat on their asses. They were elected to instill change. Dems don't do this.I don't think there is a whole lot of need to search the soul of the GOP to see what went wrong. If Trump, et al., don't make a plan and figure some shit out November 2026 will be a Blue Wave.
Youngkin in Virginia was an outlier, not the new norm. I also think that thousands of fired/displaced former federal workers who were DOGEd and affected by the government shutdown contributed. So, not surprised how the governorship went.
I AM surprised that the dog-kicking (as seen on video) murder-wishing (as seen in texts) AG candidate won.
Mamdani is just the latest far-left/socialist mayor, and that's a trend that ain't changing.
