New Mexico is such a strange place. It is incredibly rural with crazy drug problems in Albuquerque. Yet there's enough idiots living in the Capital that vote for Democrats to make them a blue state. The drug problems have only gotten worse. I do wonder what will happen here in AZ with a super liberal and racist Democrat as a governor though. So fsr we've not changed much because the legislature is still Republican but that can change rapidly.

I have a friend who is an officer on the Carlsbad Police Department, we worked as medics together, and he was in my wedding.

It's all good that law enforcement will not enforce this, though, when push comes to shove, pensions matter to cops.

He calls it the "Paying The Guards" theory where if you pay the police and military well enough, they'll support their masters.

I am glad this has happened, and not during crazy covid times. It was only a matter of time till a Governor tried this, and with the pro gun supreme court, I see it be a huge overstep using a "health crisis" to attempt this.

Gun control isn't about safety If safety was truly the driving factor, why not declare a national health emergency for alcohol and tobacco? Ban 'em, get 'em off the streets. Protect the children!

You want to help kids? Make PE mandatory in schools again. Leave our Second Amendment alone and STFU about gun control.

Refreshing to see. I hope, when/if that cunt in NM comes for his pension/badge/job as political revenge, that sheriff will stand by his actions. We need more like this man.
