This isn't a personal shot, but that's ridiculous, and I will take the over, as in, not happening.

When America wants to hide its drone war crimes, and the Tuesday Execution list briefed to Obama, where he acted as judge, jury, and executioner for thousands of civilians (even some Americans!), you'll never know about it till years later, and then we will just deny it. The only reason the collateral damage drone strike (like, 15 years ago, where we schwacked some journos in either Iraq or Afghanistan) got released is because it was leaked.

When we have actionable target sets with verified cartel members poisoning American youth with coke and fentanyl, this admin will release the strike video that day on their social and make a meme about it.

Save me doom posting, I do not care about what 1/1,000.000 bad thing might happen in the future.
 
Mexico is straight going off.

Mostly in the southwest, but reports of major violence throughout. If you are there keep your head down.

Having spent roughly a year there a while back doing stuff, I am glad to see the Mexicans finally doing stuff. They are capable, I hope we don’t get back to earlier levels of violence though.

Spinning this thread off of the West Point Drug Overdose one, with the intent that this thread becomes the clearinghouse for discussions related to illegal drugs.

In a question related to that thread, I understand fentanyl gives a better high and it's extremely concentrated and potent. Why would you lace your drugs with fentanyl, instead of selling just the drug or just the fentanyl? And if you were mixing the two, why wouldn't you tell you clients? If not to warn them, then as a marketing gimmick? "Hey bro, coke will get you high, but this fenty-coke is going to get you SUPER...

I remember in High School which was 20 years ago, at the end of Vincente Fox's presidency or during Felipe Calderon's presidency they deployed the cadets from Colegio Militar in the fight against the Cartels. Which tells you something both about how bad it was and also about how different some of the education is at other military colleges with it leaning more on tactics in certain parts than academics. This was a total callback to the Mexican War when the Chapultepec was put under siege and the cadets fought against the US Army and Marines.

If we would just stop pretending - and legalize the widespread use of illicit drugs - and then loosen the laws on murder as a method of letting folks handle their own problems - most of this problem with so called "crime" south of the "so called" US border would just go away.
 
We just did some Ocean's 11 stuff and stole the president of another nation while broadcast live across the world. We killed our way through the ME, Africa, and wherever with relative impunity for 2 decades.

A fight with the cartels would be bloody, but we could probably kill our way out of that problem. Mexico will play whack-a-mole until the end of time. The US could turn those networks to total ash, salted earth, in about 18-24 months.

There be that. Although Palacio Nacional is essentially a fortress, didn't stop this shit from happening last year.


If you don't have a perimeter with at least 300+m of cleared territory for stand off and a well a fence...probably good to exfil.
 
Unfortunately there is an entire demographic being fueled for just that very type of unhinged behavior.
