Wired for Dating by Stan Tatkin.

A third of the way through and I’m finally doing the work as a healthy sober person about dating appropriately, my interests, and boundaries.

I'm thinking of picking this book up to read to the kid's. I've heard good things about it. Has anyone read it?

Why is Dad So Mad?

YES!!! I've recommended this book a bunch. (really? ask a question like that and NOT expect me to give an opinion?)

There's a whole subset of children's literature that delves into explaining big adult issues to children. Both ends of the spectrum, awesome to excruciating.

Considering your link is from Goodreads and it's ratings are 4+ stars, that's generally a good sign that a book is worth a look. Aside from professional journals, this is a website that is a go-to for many of us librarians when assessing books.

Thanks!! I was hoping to get a response from you but didn't want to put you on the spot.

Finished Heretics of Dune, just starting Chapter House Dune.

I have David McCullough's The Pioneers and Rick Atkinson's The British are Coming on the night stand. Really looking forward to the Atkinson book but saving it to savor it.

In the midst of Dune Messiah, damn Herbert was a great writer. The Movies definitely borrow too much stuff from Dune Messiah and compress everything.

Also, picked up Dark Age from Pierce Brown, release date was yesterday. Parents were in town so I missed his event that Changing Hands Book hosted, ugh.

Ta-Nehisi Coates Between the World and Me.

About 20 pages in and fascinated by his command of language.

I've been pushing through the wheel of time. Working through the 3rd book now, but I understand his religion gets in the way of some of his later books before Sanderson takes over.

Shop Class as Soulcraft (An inquiry into the value of work), By Matthew B. Crawford

An interesting study into the value of skilled labor versus knowledge work for the mental and emotional well being of the person. Very engaging and thought provoking. The guy went from think-tank to motorcycle repair.

Finished "The Warwolf" yesterday.

The book is about a group farmers' effort to survive and eventually thrive during the 30 years' war when the foundation of society is engulfed in conflict; with attempts at livelihood being pillaged etc. with frequency from occupying and marauding forces. It's fiction; UW is a large thematic element though.

Red Rising by Pierce Brown is one of the best books series I have read to date, anyone interested in Syfy should read the series and a new book is in the way to possibly complete ther

Re-read Fahrenheit 451. Amazing
I was not aware of this book. Googled it and am going to put it next in line to read. Thank you for the recommendation, sir.

For those of you who are interested, you can pick up a Kindle version of Tom Wolfe's The Right Stuff for $2.99.
Tom Wolfe’s A Man in Full, is also a very good read.

Finished reading The Fight by Norman Mailer, fantastic read if you're even remotely interested in Ali, Boxing, or the concept of willpower. Highly reccomend it.

Rereading Atlas Shrugged again currently.
