Fox News in fact is not an echo chamber, I don't watch the news, I read varied sources, I read stuff on X and unfortunately my X feed is an encho chamber. But not a conservative one, the algorithm amplifies what you interact with and clearly I interact with liberal stuff.
Fox the entire time of the first Trump Presidency punched him pretty hard at times but was conservative slanted. And remember, ratings for CNN and MSNBC sank, Fox ratings soared. But the demographic that that Democrats had massive gains in? Boomers, so people who would likely watch legacy media all day. So that means you have a lot of Democrats not getting serviced by their controlled media, who are watching Fox, and still voting for the Democrat.
My sister-in-law works remotely. I work remotely. Apparently, every day she watches 'The View', every day! Outside of sportsball on the weekends I don't watch any TV, my wife tells me I should be nicer to myself and watch something during the day because I can.
So I don't think this thread will be an echo chamber much to be honest, you still have guys wanting well balanced government and then you have guys that want things to get real wild. Four years ago
@amlove21 was so good at hiding who he voted for that I thought he was to the left of
@Cookie_ !!!
….sigh….
Never have I ever…”hoped the President of the United States stops exercising his First Amendment rights”.
What I hoped for, was that Donald J Trump would take the high road and consider himself the President of the United States of all American’s; not just the ones who voted for him/agree with him. I find it difficult to believe that had Kamala won the race, and then posted a similar Thanksgiving message, calling out “Right Wing Lunatics”, we would be defending her First Amendment rights.
I knew what I was signing up for when I voted for him, but I will die on the mountain maintaining that once elected, the President should walk the high-road, and not literally insult the American’s who disagree with him. It’s not good for the Republican Party (what’s left of it anyway) and I genuinely believe it’s what caused Trump to lose the 2020 election; and cost many conservatives their seats.
Even a basic GPT filter delivers the same message without the abrasiveness -
“Happy Thanksgiving to everyone, including the Radical Left, who have tried to harm our country but have failed and will always fail. Their ideas and policies are so flawed that the American people recently delivered a decisive victory to those who believe in making America great again!”
I guess that is too much to ask, but I had hoped I was wrong.

So here's the thing, this thing you hope for Trump to do is strange, and I don't see why he should do that either. The difference between him using Twitter and Brandon using prime time cut to speech moments to call you and I garbage is well there is no difference. Except Byron was worse, he used his power to have networks cut from programming to hear his speeches in which he torched you and your ilk (I'm in this group of people he disparaged for four years). O'Brandon was a divider in chief, he just used the governmental apparatus instead of twitter.
