Based off prior staff conversations we’ve had about this member, specifically the language he uses/used here, I’m surprised you’d call this out publicly.
That said:
Because as Covid continued(s) to take shape, “Chicom” is used as a an all encompassing slur towards people of Asian descent. See also, “Asian Hate”.
There is significantly more context to this particular conversation, but it would be wrong to to air prior staff conversations publicly, so PM inbound.

On a side note, many restaurants around my AO including 1 in town refused to close up, the Radcliffe Cafe/diner. Government officers came to close it down, called the Boro cops, including Maria's brother.
Cops showed up, government nazis, I mean, officers requested that cops escort folks out/close diner.
Cops told stasi to clear the scene, they will not enforce unconstitutional orders. In fact, our county DA stated that he/office will not prosecute any of these mandates based on public health.
In Amish country, Maria and I had our 1 year wedding anniversary, we stayed at a Mennonite bed and breakfast, it was awesome, owners were cool, told us that they/Amish refused to close church. In 3 months, herd immunity was present.
On another note, Maria's bro, a cop who supports/abides by his oath is married to a woman that works for Bucks County health dept.
