Enough politics, we have to talk college basketball....

Upon reflection of the bracket, Virginia has the easiest road. A gift to avenge the 1/16 loss from last year? Duke's is not the easiest, weird because they are the overall #1 seed. Not fair to Duke, or Michigan State, that Michigan State got #2 in that bracket. UNC has a few challenges, notably Kentucky. Gonzaga? My money is they fall before the Final Four.

Virginia's bracket is interesting. Villanova, despite having a down year, is always capable of making noise and Oregon may surprise some people due to some great coaching and some solid defense. UVA has put up a lot of points this year, but their core strategy remains the same: defense loses to #16 ranked teams, errr I mean wins championships...#GoHokies Duke got stuck with Tech, LSU, and MSU...that's just a tough bracket. Gonzaga should have an easy road ahead, but its Gonzaga and choking seems to be a tradition of theirs come March. I think UNC and Kentucky are destined to run into each other. I'm looking forward to actually seeing my alma mater compete in the tourny this year.

What is your alma mater?

'Nova won't go too far, but Oregon is definitely hot right now. Not too concerned with VT and Duke; Duke defends the 3 ball very well, and Jones should neutralize Robinson. Like almost every Duke game, it'll be tight for 25 or 30 minutes, and Duke pulls away.

I hope Kentucky and UNC play again, and Kentucky wins by 20 gazllion. Or 1. A win, period.

Liberty U.

I get that Nova is having a down year, but I still hate betting against them considering that Wright is their coach and I don't actually believe the Big East was as bad a conference as most people do. Tennessee has been winning, but when I have watched them they just don't seem to have a sense of urgency half the time and I think that bodes ill for them down the road. All in all, I think that portion of the bracket is the most vulnerable for a lower seed to make a run in, be it Oregon/Nova/or somebody else.

Better yet, maybe UNC will be the second #1 seed to lose to a #16 :ROFLMAO: "Never tell me the odds." -Solo

I have two nephews that graduated from Liberty. That's a good team.

I don't get warm fuzzies about Nova, for some of the same reasons I said at the beginning of the year that Kansas was going to shit the bed: youth, no 'it' factor, and inconsistency. Nova just doesn't have an identity. Tennessee is schizophrenic: do you get the team that beat Kentucky, or lost to Auburn?

UNC losing to a 16 seed....

Ya, I am genuinely impressed at how LU handled their first year in their new conference, hopefully they can make some noise. What is your opinion on LSU??? I think they have the roster to upset Michigan State, but after losing their head coach and quarterfinal game to Florida, I just don't know who is going to show up when push comes to shove.

I think LSU is a good team, but I'm concerned about the lack of leadership and all the issues going on with the coach. With all the energy and increased pressure of the tournament I see it as a huge distraction. I can't see them getting through more than two or three games at most.

But, they are talented. I do not see them beating Michigan State though.

Agreed. I'm just trying to figure out my bracket, I lost to my wife last year and I do not feel like losing twice in a row O_o

Lol. Understood. Last year my then-7-year-old daughter had the best bracket. It made her all-sports-all-the-time older brothers nuts.

Anyone have Murray state and Ja Morant beating Marquette?

Also, Go Heels and GTHD

You have two posts and you want to bring "GTHD" into this thread?? JK...I am busting chops.

Morant is a beast; how he goes, Murray State goes. They can absolutely beat Marquette (but being a Duke fan/alum, I hope they do not…)

I am hoping Chapel Hill Community College collectively gets a gutful of pinworms....

Hey it’s never to early to establish dominance...
Jokes aside, the thought of a Dook/UNC national championship for all the marbles makes me sicker than the first time I swallowed chewing tobacco. Although, UNC will have to beat UK but I think Luke Maye and Cam Johnson > PJ and Reid.

And I agree about Murray, I have the upset but Ja has to play a hell of a game. I also don’t understand how people think Duke has the easiest region, I think Virginia has a walk to the final four.

I agree about Virginia's bracket. They definitely have the easiest path. Play Virginia tech, LSU, Michigan State, Duke has a few obstacles. But we get Bolden back probably this week or next so that will be helpful.

I absolutely do not want a rematch with UNC. That will tip me over the edge. There's not enough anti-anxiety medication for me for that game.

You better thank him....those last two shots should have gone it. Even Coach MIke knew they won that buy the hair of their chinny chin chin....

I guess now I have to follow through with my promise that if Duke won I have to go into the priesthood will be a saint or something....

Seriously though, some horrible officiating. Tacko Fall is seriously good at center, but he should have fouled out like 12 minutes into the game.

While my Auburn fandom normally doesn't branch out beyond football, I'm ecstatic that the Tigers have made it this far.
