Picked up Tekken 7 again, time to lose all social commitments for a few months, rage that I'm not good enough to beat some sweaty Koreans. Then sell it again.

Battlefield V. I can't comment about online play, just single-player campaign.

They had to work out a few bugs before releasing the German Tiger tank episode, but it downloaded yesterday, a day late. And it's freaking awesome.

There are 5 stories you can play at random.

1.) The SBS sabotaging German installations in North Africa. You're pretty much on your own, sneaking around sniping, infiltrating and blowing up radar stations. You can steal vehicles, like Kublewagons (VW Things) and tear-ass around.

2.) Norway resistance fighter. Ok, you're a chick in this one and EA says chicks are here to stay so suck up your gonads and play because this is one of the coolest levels. Again, you're on your own, you're in the mountains in snow in Norway under a full moon--the graphics are really nice. You can steal those German motorcycle/snowmobile things, and you have skis. The skiing is great. You have to infiltrate a German heavy water plant and try to rescue your mom. No shit, she's a big shot in the resistance (and also kinda hot.)

3.) Diversity doesn't stop in Norway. Here you are a French Senegalese African fighting the krauts. In this one you are maneuvering with fellow Senegalese, attacking German AA batteries and a castle.

4.) This is my favorite. You are a Kraut Tiger Tank commander. The tank is awesome. Firing rate is fast, you can switch from 88mm to MG, repair time is fast. It's late in the war, you're fighting in city streets against an overwhelming American armored force. The good news is it only takes one or two 88 rounds to blow up a Sherman.

5.) You're a fighter pilot...I haven't played that one yet.

But why not simply portray historical events the game is based on, like the Norwegian heavy water sabotage, the way it was .... and honour the real heros ? the Norwegian commandos .... who purposefuly left British weapons behind after the sabotage, so that the Germans would not suspect Norwegian resistance in the first place, and thus prevented reprisals on the civilian population.
Not to mention the fact a kid is able to overwhelm dozens of Wehrmacht soldiers in h2h lol - Such details genuinely bother me in games.

I've been playing some RDR2 like the majority of the population recently. Ain't half bad. Once payday rolls around again I should be able to pick up Battlefield V. I still play 4 really consistently and enjoy that thoroughly so I'm sure I'll enjoy V.

Yeah...but...if you tell it like it really was then it wouldn't be politically correct. Sheesh, man, this is the 21st Century. We ain't got time for the Truth.

Yeah ....

It's just sad. The last surviving Norwegian who took part in those operations, Joachim Rønneberg, passed away just recently this year. Would have been a great opportunity to honor or at least mention them in some way .... but yeah, who thinks of such things nowadays when you gotta push some agenda.

Qualified for the two final rounds of the pubg pro league qualifier. We had a tough bracket with arguably the best pro team, Check 6, and SIGIL, along with other pro teams in our group and ended up locking our spot in with a 1st place finish and 14 kills game 1 and a 5th place finish with maybe 7 kills game 2, capped it off w/ 8th place finishes in games 3+4. We only played with 3 people in our squad games 3+4 due to one guy having to go on his shift, and the next two days the squad will be 3 manning since I have a holiday party tonight and tomorrow another guys law firm has their party Friday. We out killed every other team but Adept which was nice to see. Our team is a couple guys who have played CS together for a while and just screw around, we wanted to see how we would stack up against the pros in this game and have some fun.

We still need to do some SS drops.

Just bought and tried me some Insurgency Sandstorm, which is currently a beta, and I love it. A huge improvement over the previous game. Looks better, feels better, sounds much better, is more challenging, also a little more brutal. The way ppl drop looks incredibly realistic. Haven't seen ragdoll physics like that, also some limited gore. Just about the right amount, not overdone. Cherry on top are the moans, screams, situational comments and reactions of the AI ( both yours/allied and enemy ). Like when they are being surpressed, wounded or funniest to me when you're the only one left of your team, your character be like: "...oh shit ...." or ".... Do you copy ? ... hell, where is everyone .... !?" and that badass 'last man' theme start playing. ^^ Another cool feature is cosmetic options of your character and choice between male/female which feels much more natural compared to other games because the design is vaguely based on ongoing conflicts like Syria or countries like Afghanistan.

tl;dr - It's a lot of fun. Can definitly recommend.

War of Rights. Still in Alpha. If you're also a fan of historical games and particularily want to play the US civil war, this is def a must try. The community is great and hilariously in character like reenactors. You instantly get into it and follow commands. The battles are awesome. The gameplay seems pretty authentic. Realistic shooting, reloading, and marching mechanics. For being still in early dev, it def can show itself.

Steam's holiday sale is on, designed to steal money from the proletariat and redistribute it to the bourgeois ruling class. Blindly propping up The Man, I bought Civilization 6 at a deep discount....the only way I'd buy the game.

- Not a bad game, but I still think Civ 5 is the best of the series.
- Mods really make it work. If you won't run mods, don't buy the game. Sad, but that's the series these days. Many RTS' to be honest.
- It is a good game with only 8 hours in and much improved over the demo I played shortly after release.
- The learning curve can be steep. Don't be frustrated with your first few games.
- Worth the 19 bucks for the deluxe peasant whatever version with the additional nations. The base model is 14 or 15.

I think it will be a good game once I figure out its quirks, mods to run, etc. Do not pay full price for this game though. Stick it to the man, buy it on sale.

I've been playing Elite Dangerous with my buddy. They introduce deep core mining of asteroids and planetary belts. Just one haul allowed me to upgrade to a significantly better ship.

Outside of that. Been trying Skyrim VR modded.. Looks like most of the mods that work for special edition work for the VR version.

Back when I had a gaming computer I put so many hours into that game, I generally go for PVP in MMO's but I loved to just mine/explore/smuggle with some music in the background.

I’m not much of a real gamer. Want to get something that the twins (16) and I can play together via XBox1. Thinking Red Dead2.

Question:
- can we each have our own save file so we can each play our own game

As long as you buy an actual disc copy of the game, you can have multiple profiles, each with their own saved files. If you go this route, I'd buy three seperate external SSD's, one for each profile.

Why not just agree to play from different save games? The game lets you have multiple save files. Pretty sure you can do that with the downloadable copy of the game too, but I always prefer disk versions anyway.
