While I've been waiting on the new expansion for WoW, Shadowlands, been trying out Divinity: Original Sin 2. Quite a bit more involved than i expected.
Festival of the Lost returns to D2 tomorrow and runs through Nov. 3rd. Free to play. Links and trailer below. Loot isn't bad and the format is kind of like COD's Zombies. You clear levels until time runs out, the more levels you clear the more loot you pull down. It is kind of a neat event and you get to interact with Discount Martha Stewart.

I even set up a Discord server if anyone wants to come out. I'll drag any of you Free to Play folks along as best as I can. Couple of good reviewers suggested the "issues" are being over stated, and also not coming from FE model
Probably more so people pushing for one time clocks? I'm still on an x99 platform with a single 980ti and I might upgrade to ThreadRipper soon. I want to get a Canon R5 and will need the extra boost for 4/8k processing. I'm stoked at how powerful the new cards are for the price.

I've been playing quite a bit of Baldur's Gate 3. Been a lot of fun even though it's just in early access on Steam. Larian Studios sure likes you learning from failure.
Like I said, only in early access, but looks like it will be a pretty great game

I’ve completed Red Dead 2 three times over the past couple of years. Now I am finally getting into Skyrim; it is humorously annoying how after experiencing the unique voices and abilities in Red Dead, SkyRim employees about 4 actors for all of the voices and your character cannot “jump” up a small set of steps.

Products of their time, for sure. Even in its remastered incarnation, most games were able to look at Skyrim's success and then innovate upon it - including the PC community who has built so many mods on top of the vanilla game. Not surprised you feel that way, but some feel the jankiness is part of the charm.

Yeah... there's like an 8 year difference in those games. What's the modding community look like for RDR2?
From what I understand Rockstar also spent quite lavishly on RDR 2, especially compared to Bethesda's budget and manpower.

I don't doubt it... especially for a console game. I personally won't ever play it. I can't stand ports
Personally my big problem with Bethesda games is that the main plot usually isn't that compelling, and too many of the side quests are radiant ones which are copy pasted and involve repetitive objectives. I felt New Vegas was a great counterbalance to that - with Obsidian building on Bethesda's framework with its own lore and world building. I sincerely hope that New Vegas 2 can happen now that both the IP and the dev are under one roof with Microsoft.
I wish I were there to set up your Skyrim, because at this point playing vanilla is almost an insult to the customer.
Skyrim is mostly kept alive and thriving through it's gigantic modding community.
