Georgian Special Forces 2009

Apr 1, 2009

Just a sign, that the georgian army is fit again to defend. But only without Saakasvhili as Chief of Staff

I have no exact informations about the close combat fighting system and there are no video footages about it. One of my friends there is a member of the so called Commando Batallion there and he said that the elite troops are learing to use elements from the nearly 2000 years old georgian 'Khridoli' martial arts and Israli SF melee combat systems. Maybe to compare with Sambo, rescuing yourself from every kind of deadly situation. Sambo contains some Khridoli elements

The comentator in this video footage also says that most of the training elements differ vastly from training programs of other european countries, what is not shown here.
