I worked with a fantastic woman who was a South African that immigrated to Australia. The picture she painted of South Africa was horrific. As I thought, but she mentioned, if you criticize South Africa's current condition you are racist. Crime is rampant particularly against Whites, but rampant all the same. She watched it become a third world country before she punched Down Under. Her family who remained have suffered immensely.
 
Mandela and Arafat were buddies. And Mandela was a big shot on the SACP's central committee (everybody learned after he croaked, not that it was a surprise). So no shocker they want Israel tried for genocide.

There’s plenty of them here, along with Rhodesian/Zimbabweians.

As for Mandela, for me he’s in a minority as a successful terrorist, he negotiated a solution, then put the gun down. It’s unlike Hamas who won’t, therefore…
 
Mandela is a bit like Lincoln, except Mandela that he lived to watch his party destroy his country. Lincoln's version of reconstruction was pretty mild, if he had lived you might have seen a lot more Confederate officers in join/re-join the Federal Army. And there might have been even more bases named after former Confederate Officers.

Hamas protecting civilians would go against their objectives. Doesn't matter though, their civilians would rather die for Allah anyways. Stockholm Syndrome, just millions of people with it.

I think--as you point out--they were mistakenly thought to be legitimate targets and intentionally hit. Bad intel? Bad decisions? Whatever, it can happen.

Honestly, with all the flack Israel's been taking from the entire world regarding civilian casualties, I doubt very much if they would bring a public relations shitstorm down on themselves by the premeditated annihilation of an aid convoy.
