It appears, at least as far as spending vs income is concerned, that a policies are not working to reduce the deficit. Instead, that spending is taking us to record highs.

I may be wrong. But I'm not sure he'd be reelected if he cut entitlements. FTR, they are actually entitlements because you have paid for the product. One of the reasons I support Trump is because he is a rare republican who vowed not to touch these programs. My .02. Probably better discussion for the trump presidency thread, though.

It's not about about being right or confirmation bias. It's about not wanting to live under the boot of a bunch of Ivy League educated schmucks, who seem to think that they're the new aristocracy. It's not like this is a new thing, we all remember the IRS targeting conservatives and it being discounted as conspiracy.

Wonder if he’s referring to his knowledge that he didn’t collude and the release of information that started the investigation will confirm the news media knowingly peddled unsourced information as if it were deeply sourced and vetted? Negative “news” about his administration is over 90% and errors ALWAYS skew against.

Those words included "medical marijuana", "patriots", "9/12", "progressive", "occupy", "Israel", "open source software". In the 2017 finding, during the current administration, the inspector general was quoted as saying "The 115 page report confirmed the findings of the prior 2013 report that some conservative organizations had been unfairly targeted, but also found that the pattern of misconduct had been ongoing since 2004 and was non-partisan in nature." This all happened under Obama; if your contention was, "Obama did bad things", I'd agree with you.

I am going to go out on a limb here- there isn't a deep state. Further more, if there was, a political ingénue with less than 3 years experience is probably not waging war against that non-entity and sending out coded messages that only his followers can understand and interpret via twitter. Due to it's actions the IRS effectively killed the Tea Party movement; that I know. As for the evidence behind their motivations, they basically lumped conservative groups in with the potheads, truthers, socialists, zionists, etc. It's not like we don't know the consequences of the IRS's actions.

As for 'secret coded messages'. C'mon man, we have always know that there has been corruption and a Deep State. Heck, even Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about the military industrial complex. Considering how brazen our politicians have been about selling us out and preaching to us from their pedestals, it's nice to see a POTUS tell them to pound sand and mock them via the twitter.

Trump has been in the public eye since roughly 1980, talking shit to people he doesn't like the whole time. It's much more likely that a dude who has a nearly 40+ year history of trashing people is just still trashing people, and not standing up against corrupt politicians. Trump is a man who lives for satisfying his ego; I don't think it goes any deeper than that.
