I certainly hope not. The American public and international governments look at the words of the American President as almost de-facto policy pronouncements. If we have a "troll" President, I don't even know what our country's messaging is going to be like.

To be fair, I believe that Trump believes almost all of the things he tweets. He just doesn't always fully think them through. That's the problem with a President that's on Twitter - because so many people believe that the President's words are super important, it's very problematic to have a President who is tweeting about whatever he saw on Fox & Friends that morning. Today he tweeted about demanding an investigation into Nancy Pelosi's contacts with ambassador Sergei Kislyak. I fully expect that there will be an investigation and that it will produce nothing. And if there isn't an investigation? Well, that means that the President's words are essentially meaningless.

Regardless, I think the best option for America would be for Twitter to ban his account, but not the POTUS account. Or, he could come to his senses and stop picking fights on twitter.
 
His last few tweets have just been bonkers, paranoid ranting.

What's funny (but not haha funny) is that even if true, Obama will simply chuckle and shake his head in mild amusement, and Trump will again be acused of making shit up as he goes along.
 
If there was an intercept I'd wager it was to do with that Russia angle. And if there was an interception there was a warrant. And if there was a warrant there is some kind of circumstantial evidence or a reasonable suspicion. And that would be interesting.

Pretty doubtful it was Obama or the Democrats doing it unilaterally - if it were he'd never know. The Feds doing it on the other hand...
 
Doesn't he have carte blanche to just declassify things? Not sure what the process is but I'm sure it's not to just start tweeting it.

Either way it's incredibly unprofessional.

But would it matter? His Tweet said, "Just found out..."

One of my biggest concerns about Trump is his inability to filter himself. One of these days we will see the Tweet that says something like:

"Congrats to SEAL Team Delta for their capture of two bad hombres in China and Russia last night!"
 
I can easily believe that he and a multitude of other CEOs have their shit tapped. Why...idk, we tapped Sarkozy and Merkel..for what?
