School/Mass shootings are now part of our culture.

Still no manifesto, eh? We had the Louisville bank shooter's name, manifesto, comments from parents, work history, interviews with local people on the street etc etc etc in about 24 hours.

But the religiously motivated transgender (and therefore leftist) lunatic that slaughtered Christian (and therefore probably conservative) children- nada. Not a medication list, not a mental health history, and certainly not the motive in her own words because it was deemed "Too dangerous" by the FBI.

I believe it was White House Presspaganda Secretary KGB who said, "LGBTQIA+ plus kids are resilient. They are fierce, they fight back."
...other kids, not so much.

Its conservative white middle class cis men - not the mentally compromised left wing murderers that are causing school violence and mass shootings.

You should see the books parents are trying to ban from kindergarten libraries...the best I could describe it as is tranny hentai. So yeah the left wing blue anon lib [blank] media is going to bury this.

Oh, so parents of those students paid for that piece of shits funeral.

Everybody remembers learning about how certain groups of Europeans (Irish, ethnic Jews, Greeks, Romani*) weren't seen as "white" for a big chunk of change, but eventually came around and fell under the umbrella?

That's sort of what's been happening with the Hispanic population. It gets weird because Hispanics run the skin tone gamut. Brazil's a pretty interesting read on how your "race" is tied to skin tone and career. I.E. a light skinned, mixed race lawyer is "white" because of his job, but the same complexion on a construction worker might make him black.

*(Hasn't happened for the Romani yet).

Anyways, fuck all these shooters and their manifestos.
Some asshole writing a manifesto is some asshole hoping someone reads it.
Put them in a unmarked grave and be done with it.

My wife went to college with a black girl who was adopted at infancy by a white couple. Thus, she grew up white, and self-identifies as a white person, in spite of being labeled black/AA.

Clearly that is pretty extreme, but you are correct in that assigned ethnicity/race is sometimes different than self-identified ethnicity/race.

At one point North Carolina was third highest in Mexican immigration (due to agribusiness), I don't know what it is now. Everyone still identifies almost everyone who speaks Spanish as 'Mexican' regardless of where they are actually from. Given where I live there are about six universities within 40 miles, three of them being Duke, UNC-Chapel Hill, and NC State Univ., so we get a lot of international students. I bring that up to say I have even heard people from Spain being called "white-skinned Mexicans" because they speak Spanish. And it was not even said as a slur or derisively, just out of ignorance.

I had a Black manager one time talk about his family, and others, where he grew up in Missouri (then later in Oakland as a young adult before joining the AF). He had several other Black members of our shop back him up, so this is an anecdotally small size, but...

He made the exact same observations about skin tone within segments of the Black community. How widespread is it? No idea, but he recalled his grandmother refusing to acknowledge some of her grandkids because they were light skinned. Others in the shop had similar accounts of light skinned Black people being shunned within their own families, much less the community.

We're radically departing the intent of the thread, but I think it is worth noting. We should consider what is said about a shooter or any controversial person (G. Zimmerman) as the media and individuals push the narrative towards their own bias. Unfortunately, whatever is said first becomes the "truth" in times like these.

Fucking bullshit but I'll say from gang training I had years ago when the Bloods from Trenton NJ tried to take over here, they got sent packing by our own gangs in the form if shootings over a span of months...

La Eme (letter M in spanish), also known as Mexican Mafia, largest Hispanic gang in prison with many out of prison also has/been allies of the Brand (Aryan Brotherhood).

Is that the case here, who knows. Probably not. Media are fucking vultures looking for ratings. Just an observation though.

The media/social media and politicians will frame it in a way that amplifies their position and base and slams the other side. We saw it last week with AOC, et al., and the subway dude in NYC, we saw it with the shooter in Tennessee, and we are seeing it with the shooter in Texas.
