Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

There are no blue states, just blue cities.
Sadly, Minnesota may be the exception.

There's a lot of delusion here. I don't know if it's the lack of sunshine during winter months or what...

Since 1932 the state has gone Democrat all but 3 times; 1952, 1956, 1972

Granted, most the population lives in the Mpls/St Paul metro area but it's pretty overwhelming. 😔

OK, enough politics in this thread...

Wonder what kind of odd premise the movie will have for this alignment and catalyst for Civil War?

Doesn't it have a bit to do with growing minority populations who usually lean left? Thats how Minnesota seems to me as an outsider, as per the MSM.

I'll bow out now and let this thread get back on track.

So is New York, Illinois, and California. I think a lot of Massachusetts is red, too.

PA is red outside of Philly, Pittsburgh, Reading, Lancaster.

Go anywhere outside if that, it's DTOM, US and Trump flags. Though, I'm not a Trump supporter either, at least it's closer to what we align to.

made Kevin Bacon, the prepared guy out to be the crazy prepper.
I'm by no means a prepper, but I do have an alternate course of action. I'd think a lot of us here probably put some thought in to it. Fuck'em, if I had the extra money I'd be a crazy prepper. Other than expense it's a cool hobby that has no downside.

Crazy prepper here Top 🤣🤣🤣
Not really expensive. More of an investment of time in selecting good gear, buy once cry once. Then training with said gear. When I am not down with a surgery. I "patrol" our wooded area and "larp" around the property and surrounding forest.

As for the movie, as I watched it I said, this will actually end up being pretty good or pretty bad. My money was on the latter and I was right. It had potential but I knew the writers and producers didn't have what it takes to deliver.

It's like the writers start telling a story, and it's just compelling enough to say, "OK, let's see where this goes", but they don't really know where it's going and they're really not very good story tellers to begin with. As a result, they don't know how to tie it up, so they just end it. It's terrible, but that's filmmaking these days. They need to have an outcome in mind and work the story back from there.

I've seen far worse movies this year (ie Killers Of The Flower Moon), but I can't recommend this one either. 👎

That said, there were some impressive bunkers...even stocked with some Aunt Jemima! 👍

Civil War film looks woke. The protagonists seem to be a bunch of "journalists" :ROFLMAO:. Plus ol Ronny Swanson (Keith Oberman) is cross dressing weirdo. Man has an impressive woodshop though. Still liberal.

Lol... wonder where all the crime is coming from. Cause when you hear about Minnesota and crime it's mainly the Somali community and inner city gangs.

That's exactly where it's coming from. There are no real mysteries here...just real idiots unwilling to recognize reality.
Honestly, I'm still operating under the assumption that everyone assumes I'm a homophobic, tinfoil hat wearing, super racist, rabbit person.

Btw, you seen the new season of Reacher?
