Umm... it’s Wonder Woman. Her costume has been pretty much the same since she was introduced in 1941. I didn’t think the movie outfit was over the top, and it wasn’t even shown until about halfway through the movie. Hell, Lynda Carter’s outfit was a bit more risqué than Gal Gadot’s. The movie outfit made more sense since it was designed as armor, whereas Carter wore what essentially a one piece bathing suit with plenty of cleavage and hooker boots.

When I was a wee one I had a wonder woman bathing suit, as did both my sisters. I think I was 3ish.

It's not about a woman as a superhero, it's that the leading actor is jewish.. the same reason why I can't go out to see Annihilation at the moment. It's been a thing here.

The answer is maybe? It probably helps absorb some but you're more likely to get a benefit from the laxative interrupting your time pounding back Bacardi to prevent a hangover.

There was a study back in the 70s about vitamin b6 preventing them. I'll see if I can look it up.

Well, this. I’m not going to sell it to myself that it’s role material for my little ones.
Her outfit was dopey, I get it that she was created in a different age, but couldn’t they have made her super hero suit a little cooler, more practical, more warrior-like and less shiny bathers. But I guess she wouldn’t be Wonder Woman.

I hoped that maybe the nemesis was at least interesting, since everybody else was pointless. Son of Zeus was a fizzle, the ending was a non-event.

So when I asked the husband if he really thought the storyline was any good, he pointed to the Warrior women at the start and then said again, it’s a Super Hero movie, what can you expect?!

I asked him if he felt the storyline was of the same caliber as Batman or Spider-Man? His response was, “Batman is special.” He finally conceded that Wonder Woman was dumb but reemphasized that Gal Gadot is hot! !

I love pretty men and women on my screen too, but I’d like a logical story line, a supporting cast that actually do useful things, and action scenes that kinda make sense. That scene when Mr Love-Interest called his buddies to help lift the car door so she could have that extra boost to leap into the sky and crash into the tower to take out the sniper was just ridiculous! If I had popcorn at the time, I’d throw it at my tv screen!

I mean that metre or so musta made all the difference! I guess the secondaries had to do something... I go back to my original bitchery, she could have leaped up with no assist and crossed her arm guards and a BOOM!!! The End (of sniper).

I’m finished ranting on Wonder Woman. I still have to rant about Dunkirk at some point.

Alcohol (ETOH) is a direct irritant to the gut and raises all manner of hell to the GI tract. ETOH is also one of the few things that is absorbed directly from the stomach. That is why drinking on an empty stomach can get you that buzz a little faster, and the pros count on this with drinking as soon as they regain consciousness (FWIW, Alcoholics don't really sleep all that well ). Alcoholics also tend to forget to eat. One of the results is more ultra soft to liquid stools. The Metamucil can help reduce diarrhea experienced by the chronic excessive drinkers.

Because of the constant bowel irritation, the gut has trouble absorbing vitamins, the B complex in particular. Vitamins and other nutrients are not picked up and wind up in the toilet. One of the multiple treatment goals for patients being treated for excessive ETOH intake is the administration of B vitamins, by injection at first because of the bowel irritation.

I searched to see whether this was posted before, but haven't found it. I'm making my way through the 3 part "five came back" on Netflix.

There is a lot the present generation has not seen and does not understand. We can learn from looking back at WW II. The question is will they take the time to learn and understand?

Not likely, IME. The perception of war for the American public seems to lie in video games, pictures, movies - a means of understanding that are a step removed.

I don't know that many people now have a sense of what it means and what the folks they send off to fight go through, and how poisonous of an experience it can be.

Anyhow, thanks for the heads up on these, @Frank S. We can use Netflix for something other than kids cartoons!
