I'm with you. It's 2018. Why we continue to need a pair of $.02 "glasses", just to watch a movie in 1950's style is beyond me.

Is everyone missing the little line “one of” not “the best” Eastwood movie? It’s not his greatest work but it’s, IMO, up there with his best work.

Great movie, but I cannot watch it again. I was so frustrated after it (and the book), I could not sleep for days.
We did 3-D.
First 3-D movie for me and I liked it.
Man, that movie was so good. Like @amlove21 , I was also rooting for the "bad guys". Yes they did kill some cops but holy crap was the Sheriff an asshole. The shoutout to MARSOC was cool too.
I've seen it and it's solid. Good comic book movie. I'd personaly give it a 8.5 out of 10, the extra 0.5 just for the balzyness of giving Aquaman a shot. Besides Aquaman the only other DCCU movie I really liked, was Wonder Woman.
Visualy it's a masterpiece. Despite heavy CGI, it looks really good. Some of the dialogue is weak, a little too campy and corny at tmes, that's the only thing I didn't like so much, but it's a comic book movie. I mean, what do you expect ? ^^
The world building is great, maybe 1 too many sub plots, but I mean, how many Aquaman movies would ppl really wanna see ? so I get that decision. Though there will in all likelyhood be another one, imo.
It's fun, great to watch. The action is amazing. Healthy dose of sillyness. Acting is solid.
Don't trust the RT 'critic' score on this one. They go full retard at this point, on anything that has a DCCU stamp attached to it, unless they feel socialy obliged to give a fair rating, like with WW.
Half the reviews really don't make any sense and are just forced negativity. The critics are unreasonably harsh about it, like silly complaints such as it being too 'comic-booky' .... and corny. Those critic reviews bring just about as much value to the table as a toddler's opinion on a shakespeare sonnet.
