yeah, Ledger was the best Joker, but unfortunately he is not around to do the role....I am looking forward to this movie.
This scene encapsulates what I mean.

To watch the joker start from casually forgetting every fuck he ever gave walking in that room; dude walked in wearing an SVest cause he didn’t have room for his huge balls in his custom made purple velour suit. Then to make sure all these wanna be hard wanksters knew he was more Jessie James and less Jussie Smollet, he for real perpetrates a hate crime via pencil.
The coup de gras? Watch where Gamble interrupts him and corrects him on ‘freak’. You see it again later when Gamble tells him he’s crazy, and the Joker replies, “I’m not. I’m no-TT.” Those small subtle looks, the mouth tick and movement... fuck man. That’s the realest cat since XXXTentacion. RIP
For a brief second, you see rage clot across his eyes and he seems interrupted. He changes tack from his prepared speech and counter punches with Gamble, and then paints his master stroke.
He guts the douchebag collective telling them he knows why they’re mad pussy, yo, and everyone knows it cause they meet in daytime.
Simple solution- we kill unkillable and you give me fucking half. Of errrrrrthang.
Walks out on his own two. That’s why Ledger nailed this role; Joaquin has the ability to truly access that crazy too. Hopefully it doesn’t lead to 7 xanny’s And a glass of wine.
Love that scene. The more polite Hans is, the more terrified the farmer becomes. There is a scene in Inglorious Basterds that should be the Gold Standard in screenwriting, directing and acting and it's the farmhouse scene between Christoph Waltz and Denis Menochet, the Jew Hunter and the Farmer.
Best thing about being in a wheelchair, well, one of the best things, is I still was able to get Endgame tickets today in a sold out show. It's awesome when you bring your own chair![]()
Finished The Widow. The ending was a bit too "protagonist wins" and "jumbled mess" for my tastes. I didn't hate the ending, but it detracted from a really good series.
Hanna on Amazon Prime...hard pass. I made it about halfway through the second episode before walking away. "You got your coming of age story in my assassin thriller! You got your assassin thriller in my coming of age story!" Those tastes do not taste great together. I don't care if it improves, I won't be around.
I just finished watching it and enjoyed it. Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson were great together. The Highwaymen was very good. It's the story of the two former Texas Rangers brought out of retirement to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde.
It was apparent accuracy was important to the producers. I liked that the story was presented from the "other" perspective and in a way that didn't glorify Bonnie and Clyde.
