Pretty awesome comparison
Holy. Shit. Everyone on here needs to go watch this right now. It’s terrifying and mind blowing and absolutely earth shattering.
Dude. I’m serious. I had to sit in the quiet for a bit after. That trailer is enough to worry me.
I was going to watch it but this comment gives me pause. Too many heavy days. I think I'll hold off a bit for something lighter.Dude. I’m serious. I had to sit in the quiet for a bit after.

LOL. Me neither. Except..and I'm ready for the belt-fed hate machine to light me up here...but that trailer just doesn't do anything for me; guess maybe it's not my genre.I don't know a thing about Dune, never saw the original, and even that trailer looks bad ass.
I think you should watch. It far surpasses CA. And the authors of the AI system and algorithms are explored in depth. If you think fake news is an issue? Watch. The trailer is just meh.. delving into adtech and probably pushes more into what the cambridge analytica touched upon. I'll put in on my list though

It's almost as if they thought they were creating something for the good of the people and then they lost control of their monster.
To continue the Virgil, Aeneas answered "Hoc Opus, hic labor est" (This is our great work, this is our task) - going back from the underworld."The road to hell is paved with good intentions."
Or, if you prefer from my man Virgil, author of a quote in my signature: Facilis descensus averno (The descent to hell is easy).
Haven't seen this posted yet....looks pretty good. I heard it's based on a TRUE story......![]()

That documentary really changed my viewpoint on social media as a whole. Worth watching multiple times.I'm 45 minutes into this and it is...It confirms things I already expected, but makes them worse. Stanford knowingly running a class on how to use tech to influence a person's psychology...essentially to create legal drug addicts? The increase in self-inflicted harm caused by teens and pre-teens alongside social media use?
Holy shit...
This was solid. Everyone should watch it. I believe what's discussed plays a big role in events we're seeing take place now. Thanks for the recommendation!A lot of you might not find this entertaining but it's worth the watch. Finally a documentary that highlights the reality behind the tech industry and social media.
Agreed. Particularly insightful hearing tech exec comments at the end in re: personal use by their families. I was never on FB and this helped reinforce that decision but it also made me rethink the other socials I am on...maybe I can do without them as well? . Does that make me a luddite?!That documentary really changed my viewpoint on social media as a whole. Worth watching multiple times.
The biggest/most impactful statement was from the dude with the dreads. I’ll paraphraseAgreed. Particularly insightful hearing tech exec comments at the end in re: personal use by their families.
