Now this looks good.
You want to make a movie about something, cool. Make a new one. No need to mess with the classics. I fucking hate reboots....
The Wizard Of Oz and It's A Wonderful Life to get 'diverse' reboot
Who was even asking for these? I want whatever those hollywood execs are smoking. You want to make a movie about something, cool. Make a new one. No need to mess with the classics. I fucking hate reboots....
The Wizard Of Oz and It's A Wonderful Life to get 'diverse' reboot
You can add some diversity without making it a preachy spectacle. You can alter the location without making a massive socio-political statement which will alienate audiences.
But this is Hollywood...and that shit ain't happening. Mahershala Ali would be an amazing Jimmy Stewart replacement. You can make the Tin Man Black or Latino or whatever, but you can best believe that Cowardly Lion is going to be White.
The Wizard set in a Black community can work if it is written neutrally. But this Hollywood in 2024. A Black Dorothy in the suburbs of Insert City Here can work.
But this is Hollywood in 2024...
I'd watch anything with Richard Pryor in it.They did a Wizard of Oz diversity reboot - it was called "The Wiz."
Richard Pryor was the Wizard
Dianna Ross was Dorothy
Michael Jackson was the scarecrow
Nipsy Russel was the Tin Man
edited to add: DAMN IT - YOU BEAT ME TO IT !!!
This looks promising.
I couldn't think of a bigger pussy of an actor to put in a tough guy role. That's Hollywood for ya. No clue.No need to reboot a classic like Roadhouse. Also not a big Jake Gyllenhaal fan, but this actually doesn't look too bad.
There are other actors above him topping my list of douche nozzles.I couldn't think of a bigger pussy of an actor to put in a tough guy role. That's Hollywood for ya. No clue.
There's a reason everyone's favorite Jared Leto role is the one where his head gets split open with an axe. There are other actors above him topping my list of douche nozzles.
I finally caught Afterlife on accident (I never bothered with the 2016 remake), and thankfully it was far better than I expected., especially going in not knowing who would be making some special appearances.
The 2016 remake made me angry. Making that garbage wasn't fair for to the actresses in it.I finally caught Afterlife on accident (I never bothered with the 2016 remake), and thankfully it was far better than I expected., especially going in not knowing who would be making some special appearances.
Enough that I'll be making a point to see the sequel when it comes out.
