Maybe you know this, but a lot of the on track stuff was either done with F2 cars made to look like F1 cars or with real footage covered over by authentic liveries in post production. Major crash scenes are real crashes, again with the liveries modified during post. In at least one instance Ferrari has both 23 and 24 liveries in the movie, but only nerds would spot that one.

I haven't seen the movie, but I've seen a few reviews. There are some outright impossible plot points, but its also a movie. There are also some accusations Lewis Hamilton used it to subtlety settle a few scores or present his side of a story or two. I find that last bit hilarious because it is pretty on brand for him.

Totally agree. I liken the movie to the gateway drug you need to pull people into DTS so you can then pull them into actual racing.

Superman is a nearly 90 whose singular defining trait is being an alien from another world who's super strong.

He can be (and has been) used to tell whatever stories the writer wants. He's been used to tell immigration allegory for decades.

ETA: Gunn doesn't even say it's about "immigration", but that Superman is an immigrant to this country.

Sir, you watch it and decide for yourself. I don't think that way. When TV goes on, Brain goes off. I usually don't look for anything that deep. I came to the table knowing the 4 main stars, and their background and wanted an action film with comedy. That's exactly what I got. It's very similar to THE BOYS! If you laughed during the WHALE SCENE....then this movie is for you.

Wife and I watched it last night. I enjoyed it a lot, just plain silly fun and fight scenes; a great way to zone out for a while.

I was also high AF on 20mg of THC beverages.
