My man. Well played.I'd keep Nickelback and consign Liam to Neptune's depths.

Great recurring gags.
Not trying to revive an old thread, but this reminded of a recent situation with a younger buddy of mine. He's 30 ish YO and had never heard of Andrew Dice- Clay. I put it on and he didn't even chuckle. He's a good guy with a good sense of humor but just said his generation wouldn't find it funny at all. When I asked why, he said that sort of uncensored, dumb comedy no longer has a shock effect because its all out of the bag. I guess that makes sense, but I think its sad that we can't all just laugh at shit anymore. It's hard for them to enjoy 80's movies
Interesting observation, thanks for sharing. I had a similar reaction when I tried to get them to watch the first Borat movie. They literally told me “enough” and quit watching during the “throw the Jews down the well” scene. (Which still makes me LOL pretty hard)Not trying to revive an old thread, but this reminded of a recent situation with a younger buddy of mine. No longer taboo, so not shocking or funny. All out of the bag, or everything is so taboo and offensive?
No longer taboo, so not shocking or funny.
My buddy is as far from woke as you can get, definately not offended in this case. Lol. But yeah, Two things can be true. With the internet and much less censored TV, I agree that its much less taboo. That being said, I haven't met anyone who doesn't laugh at Blazing Saddles. If it's no longer taboo, we'd still have more movies like fill-in-the-blank. People seemed to be offended at so much less. I dunno.

Re: John Wick: Ballerina
*** SPOILER POST ***
The timeline doesn’t add up. When he appears at the end of the film, he should’ve been completely preoccupied with dodging a multi-million-dollar bounty. She originally meets him when he’s “punching his ticket” and heading out to Casablanca and Sophia.— so seeing him pop up at the end felt out of place and pulled me out of the story.
Honestly, they would’ve been better off leaving him out of that early scene with her altogether. I’m guessing his appearance will somehow be explained as some allegiance to the Director and Ruska Roma, but his appearance just felt forced.
