The Trump Presidency 2.0

I worked for the Army Chief of Staff for a short time when he was a battalion commander. He's a good man, hoping he don't get canned.
George has other issues, with the whole XFL/UFL Sponsorship that led the Army nowhere...yet USAREC and Army Marketing been crushing it the past month.

Work is going to fucking suck on Monday. I can just feel it.

Yep.

DoD Probationary Workforce Statement

We anticipate reducing the Department's civilian workforce by 5-8% to produce efficiencies and refocus the Department on the President's priorities and restoring readiness in the force.

We expect approximately 5,400 probationary workers will be released beginning next week as part of this initial effort, after which we will implement a hiring freeze while we conduct a further analysis of our personnel needs, complying as always with all applicable laws.

Cutting the budget by 8% and reducing the workforce is bound to increase readiness.

*AHEM*

I do not have strong enough words for the firing of Jim Slife and CQ Brown.

My phone has nearly exploded since the news dropped, rumors started on Tuesday.

Good. I hope they are both relegated to a life of shame for the real harm they have done to the men and women of AFSOC and the larger AF. I hope they’re both made to pay a penalty over their service for the rest of their lives.

No one in the Navy had warm fuzzies over the CNO. I'm not saying she wasn't qualified, just saying she's not a warrior. She was a manager.
The CNO isn’t supposed to be a warrior. Have you seen how fat the Navy is? None of them are warriors anymore.

I want a CNO who is a manager. Manage the people and the programs. There’s far too many broken ships out there because the people don’t know how to do their jobs (see Appendix A where a carrier just crashed into a giant merchant vessel). The CAPT is a direct reflection of his leadership.

She was a poor manager. Readiness in the Navy has been trash for at least 10 years. Mishaps everywhere.

We've had great CNOs who were warriors; at least had the warrior mindset. They did very well. Of course by the time you get that 4th star you should have proven your bona fides as a manager/leader, but she has not been popular and has been viewed as toting the company line of all those other distracting priorities and objectives at the risk of warfighting capabilities.

Imagine him and his doofus bros reading through 4.5 million 5 bullet point messages.

Your federal government is getting cut by someone with no idea how it works, what people do, without clearance or access to programs that are being cut. Everything is gonna work like the DMV moving forward…
