Yep. I come here once or twice a year for down time. It is literally the only place on earth I genuinely feel…’relaxed’. We aways stay in the West End…still relatively 3rd world and the food is ridiculously good.

Friend of mine moved there after he retired, sadly he was murdered there.

When I was there 10 - 15 years ago, Roatan had a pretty decent gang problem. I remember seeing a lot of Crips graffiti and one of the locals telling us about the problem. Honduras cracked down on gangs a few years ago, so maybe it's better now.
That said, the beaches in Roatan were amazing, good snorkeling, and we had no issues. I enjoyed it.
Ben Shapiro does an in depth breakdown of the Zelensky meeting too, dropped today.

That's interesting. If we're moving to a more-transactional style of international diplomacy (which I'm fine with), isn't this kind of working against Taiwan's national interests? I mean one of the main reasons we care about them right now is because they make so many of our semiconductors and other tech. The more self-reliant the US is on that stuff, the less we need to care about a tiny island on the other side of the world.
I remembered asking when they renamed Liberty back to Bragg if it was a one off, or if they were going to just try and any soldier who had the small last name and won a Valor award.

While I agree, lack of domestic semiconductors really screwed over the whole North America supply chain during the pandemic. I don't think this means you won't buy from them but you need a domestic supply.

I would love to see the priority list related to this stuff. Is this prescient, needed, and worthy of our time right now?
That's kind of where I am at this point. Campaign promise = fulfilled. Other things we need the DoD and the executive branch as a whole focused on.
I liked Ft. Moore and thought it was totally appropriate to name it after the guy that they did.
I could have seen something like Forts Gregg-Adams or Johnson being renamed under the umbrella of "removing DEI", but not Moore.
Both of them had an outstanding impact on the Army.
Liberty was such a shit name that it was well recieved to go back to Bragg, but how many of the other posts are people wanting to see changed back? I don't remember nearly as much grumbling about Benning, Hood, Gordon, etc.

The cartel made its way back into Rotan during Covid. Nobody had any money, so they came in and saved the day. You can definitely see their presence in some of the ridiculously nice places in the middle of complete poorness, especially in some of the vehicles with blacked out tinted windows.

Trolling through records you own to find anyone with the same last name isn't a high level task. Besides, the poor bastard doing the work is most likely a probbie who will be fired anyway.
So the tariffs go into effect on Canada and Mexico tomorrow. Here's a great clip I found that explains the problem at our border. I might have to find and watch the whole podcast.
