The Trump Presidency 2.0

"Poor things, you have to justify your jobs? Suck it up, buttercup, Corporate America has to do this."
1. Not everywhere, not by a long shot, but good talking point, bro.
2. You can't run a gov't like a business. Stop with that argument. You can run with some inspiration and ideas from businesses, but not exactly.
3. Do you have any idea how much time was, is, and will be wasted on these pointless bullets?
4. "Pointless" because people will err on the side of caution and provide bland statements so as to not send out CUI or worse.
5. "Pointless" because people will copy-paste shit week after week. I hate to break it to everyone but for a lot of folks their routine doesn't change. It isn't that they don't contribute, their week-to-week is only marked by a change in statistics, not in duties.
6. Lastly, "pointless" because of what I mentioned earlier: ChatGPT, copy-paste around entire offices, copy-paste from the internet, etc.

I typed my bullets and I sent my email. This might be a lawful order, but it is a "suboptimal" order and serves no real point. Goddamn, it makes the Base harder than a double shot of intravenous Cialis, though. I guess these bullets have a point after all...

Was it worthy of our time to change it in the first place?
I just hope it isn't like every time a new sheriff is elected, they feel they have to change the uniforms, decals, vehicle markings, etc. to feel like they will leave their mark on things. As with everything else, it's about priorities...

Agree. Who was complaining about the names of our military bases? I spent 20 + years in and never once remember hearing anyone complain about it. This among other things was the left pushing wokeness and it was about taking down the right, and anyone who pushed back was labled a right wing, nut job racist. The next Democrat prez will try to "right all the wrongs" Trump did, and hopefully they'll focus on things people actually give a shit about.

The midterms should give us a decent idea if Democrats learned any lessons or doubled down on their policies of alienation.

Just a quick note on the State of the Union.

It's stupid. It can be a damn letter and should be. It's political grandstanding from both parties, but it's so engrained in the history of this nation (now) that it happens every year.

I am sure the clips and soundbites will be sweet, and as long as our moral betters, these elected officials that run our lives, can be professional and not children for 90 minutes, we should be fine.

... but we know that won't happen. Enjoy the bread and circuses.

This was fucking embarrassing and it wouldn't have happened if it were just in a letter...

I have been going through the onboarding process for three GS for nearly the past twelve months, a 12 and two 13 Supervisors. Just got told they are now frozen, including the guy who just shipped his HHG last week. The two others were scheduled for next week. Right when I finally had some reprieve coming after dual hating for the past 6 months or so. Sigh.
Word from our leadership via email is the DoD is exempt from the hiring freeze and we're waiting on the wordsmiths to finalize the memorandum.

The month long thought we were exempt was nice while it lasted.

And you know who is exempt from most of this BS? My local national employees. America First? Ha….
