Maurene Comey previously worked as the lead prosecutor on both the Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell cases. She also worked on the case involving former Epstein cellmate Nicholas Tartaglione.

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters suggested that Maurene Comey, an assistant U.S. attorney in the Southern District of New York, might have played a role in the FBI's failure to release the top-secret documents. According to Attorney General Pam Bondi, the FBI Field Office in Manhattan had never disclosed the existence of "thousands of documents” related to Epstein.

“Epstein was facing sex trafficking charges in lower Manhattan, where's all that paperwork?' Watters asked.

He also pointed to the FBI's seizure of banking records and files from several of Epstein's properties, the Department of Justice's controversial non-prosecution agreement in 2008, and the Bureau of Prisons' files regarding Epstein’s time at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York.

During his campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly promised to release classified documents related to Epstein. Essentially, the FBI knew that the day would come when they would be forced to sever ties with those files.

OSLO, March 2 (Reuters) - NATO member Norway will continue to supply fuel for U.S. Navy ships, the country's defense minister said on Sunday, after a call from a private marine fuel supplier to stop doing so in response to the apparent breakdown in U.S.-Ukrainian relations.
"We have seen reports raising concerns about support for U.S. Navy vessels in Norway. This is not in line with the Norwegian government's policy," Norway's Defense Minister Tore Sandvik said in a statement.
"American forces will continue to receive the supply and support they require from Norway," he added.
Sandvik issued his statement after privately held Norwegian fuel supplier Haltbakk Bunkers said that it would stop supplying U.S. Navy ships in response to how Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy was treated at the White House on Friday.
"Huge credit to the president of Ukraine restraining himself and for keeping calm even though USA put on a backstabbing TV show. It made us sick... No Fuel to Americans!," the company said in a now deleted Facebook post.
Haltbakk Bunkers CEO Gunnar Gran confirmed to Norwegian newspaper VG that the company made a decision not to supply the U.S. military, but said the move would have a "symbolic" impact as it didn't have a fixed contract.
The company did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for comment.

I've been killing brain cells trying to figure the Trump/Putin angle.
My initial reaction is play nice because you are entering negotiations.

Then I thought about Nixon going to China. Russia and China were BFF's back in the day, and Nixon went and visited the weaker of the two first.

China and Russia are BFF's once again, and Russia is the weaker of the two. Is Trump trying to get Putin and Xi to split on issues?
I know we can't fund the Ukraine and get ready for the war (every politician seems to want) with China, so does being nice to Vlad give us breathing space to deal with Xi?

Interesting thought. I can see it. If we go to war with China, it would behoove Russia to join our alliance. If for some reason China were to come out on top by the end of the war, they'll crush Russia in the long game of world domination. An unchecked China would run away with everything.
 
Gonna need a few of our fed workers to talk to me about these other software licenses that these various agencies have for unfilled chairs. Do we just keep the spigot on in case the chairs get filled or can we figure out a way to get an enterprise license that's more efficient like what we do for Microsoft 365?

Like in my company we have a yearly review on Adobe and licenses fluctuate based on the pricing model we're able to achieve with our size.

Government pricing is different than enterprise pricing, plus we support a bunch of different flavors of operating systems from beyond obsolete (I think we have Win 2000 and RHEL 6.x boxes out there) to the newest releases. Our hardware is all over the place as well.

For my Org we have ONE office consisting of two ladies who handle our software license requests. We're looking at 2 people to support about 25,000 and their needs. Some of our aircraft trainers have over 3,000 computers and networked devices.

Background out of the way, most of our licenses have to be accounted and paid for by the individual programs. You need Visio? I had to justify the install to my manager. Desktop operating systems and Office apps are "free" to the programs, but not most applications like Visio, Adobe Acrobat, Server 2022, SQL, RHEL, etc. And the gov has a software license website that is so stupid to use not one of my coworkers can use it. You want to save money? Fix that bastard. On average it takes 2-3 months to have a software purchase approved.

That's the Navy. I can't speak for the other branches, but we don't have a lot of ghost licenses out there. The only blank check I received was to upgrade from Win 10 to Win 11. Every other piece of software required justification and came with a price tag.

I'd buy "drone operators with PTSD" all day, every day over this guy getting PTSD from one conversation. What a slap in the face to people fighting that battle.
