The Trump Presidency 2.0

Is he more dangerous than the alternative would have been? I don't think so.
I know you’re right, I know you are 100% right.

I’ve always been more of a diplomat, tried to handle business tactfully and behind closed doors as much as possible.

Trump‘s in your face style might be the right way to go, But it sure is uncomfortable.… Maybe that’s the point? Maybe that’s what this country actually needs.

I loved--loved--watching that interview, with Trump and Vance holding Zelensky's feet to the fire.
For all the talks about "norms" and "what America aspires to be" lately, I couldn't agree more.

Reagan famously walked out of negotiations with Gorbachev in '86. Sometimes you need to remind people that America is the gorilla in the room.

I know you’re right, I know you are 100% right.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

So, I wonder if this is kind of Z's exist strategy. He knows he can't be the guy who gets the country where it needs to go. This way he goes out shaking his fist at the world, and doesn't live long enough as the hero president to die a villain. "We were still fighting when I left."

He can now move his wife to his Paris condo and go to drag shows with Macron.

I can get behind this, as well as the posturing @Blizzard mentioned earlier. The world is a stage... and Zelensky is an actor, after all (who got fired by a reality TV superstar).

BAHAHA typing it out made me laugh. How can you not love this timeline?!

AP got booted out of the press pool, so this isn't the snub you want it to be.
To be clear, I wasn't hoping one way or another. I'm just here for the show.

It was just a thought, may or may not be on base. Either way, I'm entertained.

It was soooooo fucked up when Russia started invading. Reports of rocket and missile strikes on apartments and hospitals, the Russian troops left booby traps and mines all over the damn place. There were stories of Russian troops raping women, torturing people, and I believe that happened.

I figured we would send arms and ammo, not helmets like Germany, then we did.

Soon I started reading that Ukrain was asking for our patriot missiles, all these tanks, even fighter jets on the taxpayers dime. Even in the midst of all that death I still couldn't help but think that they had no respect for us. It was like the dirty ass Iraqi kid in the streets of Baghdad telling me in a stern voice "Give me money!"

Fuck Europe, let them handle it.

We suck.

How many times do you have to say thank you? He's said thank you many times.

There's a lot of oddly pro Russian and Pro Putin talking points in this thread. Putin, hanging out a Kremlin Window. That is where we need to be.

Maybe you weren't around during the Cold War but the threat is still real. The only place that brings us, is with North America and Europe in a burning, radioactive heap.
