This man does NOT like Jocko...

So, yeah. Obvious bias here; Nate (Valhalla VFT) and I are good friends. I am good friends with a lot of the dudes that have been calling Tim out for years. I am good friends with a couple of his biggest apologists, too. We've discussed this extensively. I just want to clarify any potential bias, which I acknowledge. That being said...

I have been extremely involved in this whole TK thing since he showed up, unannounced, at HKIA and moved into the RQS team room, then used that for his own gain. A report is attached of his clownery and his real negative impact there, and there are nothing but completely corroborated anecdotal stories of a lot more.

Here is what I will say- TK lied. He's lied about his number of deployments- it's not 20, it's 3. He lied about his missions. He lied about his actions (killing women and children). He lied about getting wounded. He lied about his awards. He didn't "unintentionally" do shit. He lied, doubled down, and profited off those lies for a long time, and his vehicle to get there was Army SF.

Yes, @TLDR20 the Army willingly used him as a recruiting tool. When he was in the UFC, he used his name and likeness at will and the Army was all too happy to play up the "Captain America" role. If your question is to the degree of, "Did Army recruiting command pay Tim money or did he actively support Army recruiting initiatives or events?", I think that you might be a little out of the loop on how the DoD uses their influencers. I can give you first-hand experience of what that game is, but the bottom line is, yes, the Army used Tim for recruiting. Tim fostered that relationship by messaging for the Army at every opportunity; as long as he stayed on the good side of the Guard and the Army, he was granted a free pass to be himself and continue the grift, enriching himself to the tune of millions. When you make your job part of your identity and monetize it, people who do that job are going to feel some type of way about it.

His teammates tried for years to get him to walk it back. The guys in the command tried. Everyone tried. When given the opportunity, he doubled down and then gaslit everyone as if he were the victim of "haters". That was also a lie.

His "apology" was written by Sarah Verado- and she didn't write it. AI did. Screenshot attached.

If you look at how the apology was framed, it's as if stuff from 20 years old is surfacing now, and he's issued a mea culpa and has "grown". He wrote Scars and Stripes as a 45 year old MSG, and doubled down on all the nonsense and old videos you're seeing now.

I don't have a say as to what the SF community does or doesn't do with their tabs, their headgear, or who they PNG. People are calling for Tim's head, and it's super apparent why if you do 3 minutes of research.

Tim built a house of cards, and that house of cards is falling. It's quite obvious that Tim has been positioning himself for a role in politics or the political space; he needed to clear up this dirty laundry because all this is coming out in reaction to Tim showing up at the White House with wounded warriors, and placing himself in front of people in wheelchairs. That WH visit and photo op was the exact point the world had enough of ole 50 Grenade Timmy.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

And this is why I don't buy the "people are calling TK (and others) out to elevate themselves or out of jealousy." No, just...no. It's fucking wrong and they deserved to be curb-stomped for it. The apologists just kill me....at some point if you are a friend you just say, "dude, you fucked up."

I guess I'm dumb. I would be mortified if someone were to revoke my driver's license due to performance, much less an SF tab, SEAL Trident, etc. that I'd earned.

The entitlement, arrogance, out-of-touch life one would have to live where pulling an SF tab causes you to shrug it off and double down on that behavior. I can't fathom being that arrogant, prideful, and stupid. I know that behavior, like quantum mechanics, exists but I still can't wrap my head around the concept.

Step away from Timmmmmaayyyyyy for a minute and consider Rob O'Neill:
SEAL - Not enough
DEVGRU - Not enough
A decade+ in DEVGRU at the height of the GWOT - Not enough
On the bin laden mission - Not enough
"I shot UBL." - Ding! Ding! Ding!
You would be, but not people who have mercenary character. He became rich, and a worldwide celebrity, by that claim. To him, it's probably worth it if the only consequences are that you don't get invited to the unit picnic. :(

I personally don't think they need to do anything. He's been exposed, the internet is forever, he admitted to stolen valor. Just is what it is. He will continue to pay a real cost (in dollars and integrity/reputation) for the rest of his existence over it. Taking a hat seems like it's not needed, but again, not my circus, not my monkeys.

I guess we will see exactly how many people he made super mad and what they think the way forward is.

I was referring to Rob O'Neill, but I suppose it fits for Tim Kennedy as well.

Revoking a tab is an admin action, and is actionable for bad behavior. Lying about a valor award and a purple heart, and lying about basically committing war crimes overseas, seems to fit the bill. But I think that should just be a start. He should be court martialed.

Well, he's definitely getting the attention he so desired. We shall see.

I agree that taking his tab won't affect him at all. As you mentioned, he's still got plenty of other apologists. He'll, there are a bunch of SOF "influencers" in the comments of that apology talking about how good the apology is.

Revoking his tab is more USASOC showing that this behavior is unacceptable in the organization.
Granted, you could argue USASOC is complict in letting his lies exist without consequence for so long, so its damned if you do damned if you don't.

Fame- and money-hungry narcissists like TK, a number of FOGOs, you name it, you can't take yesterday's dollars from them, but you can take something more important. Tomorrow's dollars, but more important than that?

Legacy.

Those people, their names should bring scorn and mockery. They should be punch lines. They should be ostracized by their communities, personal and professional. Reduce their earnings to a $2.36 monthly check on book royalties and whatever they can scrape from the convention circuit. Not ComicCon, the circuits that can only command the second-best conference room at an Omaha Best Western (to be fair, newer BWs have a good breakfast for free. You GOV folks on per diem should check them out.) Sandwich these dudes between the guy with a second-rate X-Men comic collection and that guy who played a gardener in that one movie with Matt Damon signing autographs. THAT should be the future of people like TK. Broke, clinging to lies, a source of mockery and pity for the world to see.

You don't have to kill the man, but you absolutely have to kill his legacy and make that name he wanted in lights worth less than a stripper's used thong collection.

FAFO, Cards Against Humanity Edition.

I do not know how they do things. I appreciate your answer.

Yeah man, this is the game. The command will 100% let you build a huge following, profit off of it, and give you large amounts of leeway on the "social media" rules and regulations.

Example- the video shared is of the first female SERE Chief. I know her, we have had her on the podcast, and this is an open forum so I am going to be measured when I say... her now-deleted content was much, MUCH different than what she posts now. She stopped doing her podcast "Big Tit Energy", but still maintains an empowering female centric military presence.

And when the AF comes calling... she makes videos like this one.

“Sure you can keep your little social media project, as long as it aligns with our messaging, right? We aren’t saying we are looking into your page or anything, we just need help getting the word out.”

Couple news stories, couple posts, just some boiler plate stuff to really connect to these kids.

He still has sponsors? Some big names cutaway, I figured the littles would follow.
BRCC's lawyers told him to strip the logo and affiliation off his website- TK killed his site for a day and then was like "Nah".

To be fair, maybe they came to an agreement and BRCC killed the C&D. Anything could happen I suppose.

Not all tab revocation actions are equal.
Earned - Awarded - Deserved - What difference at this point does it make?
I mean for fuck sake - even the Wikipedia Howler Monkeys have started throwing their shit at him...

TKVSAS.jpg

"...a Valor Stealing American Soldier"
...and entrepreneur :ROFLMAO:

At this point in his life - a tab revocation is symbolic - but appropriate. He has demonstrated that while he was able to pass a few qualification courses - he hasn't learned shit about actually "being" a Special Forces Soldier.

The guy still seems to have a huge following - even after the serial shenanigans he has been getting away with for the last 15 years. The DOD could roll up their copy of his DD-214 and use it as an extra layer of absorbency in Joe Bidens presidential depends and its not going to change who he is. His followers will just jump on the victim wagon with him and defend how fucked up it is for SWC to pull his creds. The folks that would hire him based on his ability to generate profit dont give a shit about some cheap cloth bauble that he used to wear on his army costume.

I've never met him - don't care. Don't care about his tab or his MMA career.
I don't even care that he lied about his service - lied about his accomplishments - or used a robot to write his insincere circus apology.
I care about the brotherhood that he betrayed, shit talked, stepped on, and then stepped over instead of helping them up.
They deserve better.

Some SF guys aren't lucky enough to have a "profitable talent" outside of their sacrifice to the nation. Even though some of them may struggle when they leave service - they are satisfied with who they are. They are proud of not only what they did - but they are proud to have served with the men and women to their left and right. This guy was clearly gifted with a profitable talent and a savvy business sense but it wasn't enough. He seems to have felt it necessary to use those he served with - including the ones that have left this world - as little more than stage props to satisfy his own need for attention and adulation.

I work in an office FULL of folks that have never had an SF tab - and they make decisions every single day that impact all of the folks that still wear one on their sleeve. Some have never even been in the military. Some had support jobs in leg units. Some are retired 11Bs from the 'Deuce - Cav Scouts, Marines, Airmen, and the list goes on. These people EARN their keep every day; working their asses off for people that quite frequently treat them with contempt all because they are "just civilians" - or "shouldn't even be here" because "they don't know shit about SF" - But they dutifully sent in their five stupid ass doge bullets every week while not just the people they directly serve - but media personalities chose to ridicule them for daring to comment on how silly a task it is.
...or snidely remind them that they should just be glad they even have a job.

Earned his tab?
Bullshit.
You have to earn that mother fucker every single day of your life - because the ones that paid for it in blood deserve it. We OWE it to them. This asshole may have passed the qualification course - but he will NEVER be able to earn - or deserve - a Special Forces Tab.

...just my two cents - i could be wrong
