The problem with NATO has always been pretty straight forward for those who are willing to say the quiet part out load.
When you skip past the acronym and just spell it out, NATO is actually spelled "U.S.A."

They have agreed to a lot of deals and Russia has violated all of them.
We had an event here last week with three Ukrainian generals. When I asked them what their strategic-level advice was for the cadets and faculty in the audience, the senior one said, without hesitation, "Don't trust Russians." :)
