I fundamentally reject the binary proposition offered and propose a third option: that Trump was never as bad as the Left tried to portray in the first place and they spent the last 8+ years lying to the world about that, and countless other things, and now it has been laid bare and they know there will be a reckoning.

I also don't agree that Trump's ego is very easy to massage. I do know that a whole lot of people have underestimated him for a long time, and that casually reducing him, and his followers, to caricatures contributed to him being elected president twice.

The "enemy to trusted advisors" thing is kind of how American politics work. As far back as Abraham Lincoln and continuing to Presidents Obama (Clinton as SecState), Biden (Harris, who called him a racist, as his VP), and yes Trump, "team of rivals" is more or less the default setting.

Fair take.

I don't think Bezos/Zuck/whatever other billionaire most other billionaires believed that he was "Hitler". I think they allowed it because Harris was seen as more "stable" and easier to predict.
 
The CS nerds at Meta et al. have literally never been called into the Principal's Office, let alone been on the hook for some charges. Of course it would be easy for them to get bent over by the FBI Feds/Deep Staters/Censorshippers. Let me explain.

FB and Twitter heads, whatever other big social media company: Being a big group of college educated, mostly rich kids, whom in their lives have never experienced any type of brutal or risky living...when the first emails, or calls, or contacts however, came in from the FBI, these dudes were shitting their pants... there was no way they as a group were ever going to stand up to authority. These sissies were not going to rock the boat in 2020 and beyond. Literal Hitler 2.0 could've come in and made some demands to turn in their conservative neighbors and account owners to the fire pits.

Big heads in silicon valley were already overwhelmingly liberal, soft, non confrontational people. Not a fistfight between the dozens of them. They fit right in to the masking, doom and gloom crowd to bein with. It wasn't a desire to crush their opponents, they probably don't even think like that. Just go along with the crowd. Zuckerberg himself has said the FBI threatened action if they didn't work against the anti-vax crowd, the "alt-rights", the "white supremacists" if anything was to happen. Right after the BLM/George Floyd protests and nationwide looting going on, there was no way in hell the soys were going to put a stop to it.

It took years of hearing Joe Rogan, a little Bill Maher, Megyn Kelly and other popular non-MSM personalities that never fell for it, for Zuckerberg and them to have the balls to even come forward about the pressure the FBI was putting on them.

I'm with you in this and it shows the Democrat/Liberal reality in the US and Canada. Both were the true to the definition Fascist regime, before they changed the definition of Fascism. Both controlled/manipulated private corporations to censor and push propaganda for their personal benefits.

I think few of the elites on the Left actually believed it. But a whole lot of them were saying it.

Not just on the Left, either, allegedly.

People don't agree with or just don't like Trump. Got it, makes sense. I think that's likely your take? But nobody believed he was Hitler 2.0 except the sheep who can't critically think for themselves or were afraid of being ostracized by their flock.

The Corrupticons in the republican party can not always be depended on to represent the best interests of their conservative base - but when they blocked the conformation and ascension of Merrick Garland to the highest court in the land they did a far greater service to American justice than most will ever admit or recognize.

Cannon can "block the release" all he wants - but now that Garland has stated that he is going to release it - "We the People" can bet our shiny metal asses that it is going to get released.

Who knows - maybe that report can be leaked to the media to help "drive an investigation" that can later be used to help impeach the president.

This is the take. All of these folks "coming back into the fold" directly benefit monetarily from doing so. Maybe Broccoli Zucc has really evolved and his new love of red meat and jitz really changed him... it didn't. My wife actually works in the content moderation section at Meta, so I am excited to see behind the curtain on the changes, as little as I will.

It's quite entertaining and occasionally, because I'm a retard will poke and poke to elicit a response. I like living dangerously.
