Well, truth is, I'm probably some political super genius.
But, going back to my original comments on Gaetz, I did say I'd bet he withdraws his nomination before he ever gets to confirmation for a reason.
It never felt like Gaetz was the actual nominee. It seemed as though something else was at play. Given how quickly he resigned from the House, my guess is his exit was part of the plan from the beginning.
They knew he wasn't viable, but he'd make liberal heads explode...and that always makes for a good show. At the same time, he gets freed of an ethics investigation that may not have been trending well for him and was shaping up to be an unnecessary distraction for the new administration and Congress. Take away the ammo.

I believe this was in the plan to make the second pick (the intended pick) a relief to the opposition and facilitate confirmation of Bondi. She's been a staunch Trump supporter since the get-go, she's smart, attractive physically (that never hurts) and has a good track record with few stumbles.
This time around Trump has managed to enlist some shrewd people.

I think it was on Ben Shapiro's podcast but he called it the Maddow singularity- Maddow, Cuban, Joe Scarborough, Rosie Odonnel, Steven Colbert- the longer you're liberal the more likely you approach the singularity and look the exact same.

I don't think they actually believe a lot of what they spew. They are professional liars. Bill Mahar may be the exception. He calls out bullshit on both sides.

If I were to get concealed carry everywhere, bring back machineguns for legal sale post 86, take off SBR's and silencers off the NFA, I'd be happy. I'd also be a voter and a supporter for those who voted for it in return.

Texas is trying, passed a law saying all Texas made suppressors are legal to buy with out NFA, just don't go over state lines....so far no test cases.
She’s a Trump loyalist. She defended him during his first impeachment trial. She’s stuck with him when many other Republicans turned against him. This nomination is his reward to her for that unbending loyalty.
She opposed the ban on semiautomatic weapons after Sandy Hook. She supported Florida’s Stand Your Ground law. She did oppose an open-carry proposal in Florida. And she wanted a 21-year age requirement for purchasing guns after the Parkland shootings.
Overall, she supports 2A and as a politician and a Trump loyalist she’ll toe whatever line he draws on gun policy. As a gun owner, I’m not worried about her.
If her confirmation is derailed, it won’t be about 2A. The Left despises her. They’ll go after her on her “election denial,” her campaign contributions, and whatever else they can conjure up.

I'm not either. But I'd like to hear where she stands on gun control during confirmation proceedings. I don't like the red flag law, but she supported it when tensions were high from multiple school shootings.
