Game of Thrones thread -

Arya will so kill that smirking bitch. It will be another fun death to watch. Arya killing people is a fan fave in our house.

Interesting to see the series picking up on many of the subplots in the books that they left behind, re the Iron Born, the siege of River Run, Uncle Benji--who I think we all knew would resurface at some point.

My only complaint was the Khaleesi's last scene on the dragon. It looked and sounded like she was talking to about 30 dudes. GOT could've been more generous with the CGIs and make the horde look like a horde and not a platoon.

I was irritated that they spent so much time on Sam's story. That whole thing could have been WAY shorter.

Agree...don't really care about going so deep into his life. Was interested about the Valarian steel family sword he swiped...but, that could have been a 5 minute, or less, story.

So is uncle Benjen actually Cold Hands? Didn't read the books, but seems that is the case and most of the good fan theory people out there suggested that they would need help from someone. most said either Benjen or Cold Hands...

Wonder if Lady Stark is coming back now too.

They've got killin' to do and Sam and the ugly Wildling chick aren't the ones to do it. Stark v. Bolton for the north. Let's get it on!

Just out of curiosity and the fact they work against the white walkers....how many Valarian steel weapons are there?

- The swords given to Jamie Lannister and King Joffrey (now in the hands of Brienne), which was made from the big Stark sword "Ice".
- Jon Snow's sword
- the one Sam just took.

Is "Needle" Valarian steel?

Needle is castle forged steel (like high grade steel). From what the wiki is saying, Valyrian steel is supposed to be super rare and expensive. The culture that made it was wiped out by a super volcano eruption and the tech behind it was lost, hence the burning isles. Obsidian projectile points to use against the white walkers would be the better route to go.

Sam has the sword so F you DAD! The wildling chick cleans up nice...:blkeye:

The girl who carried BRAN forever is awesome. Seems like his Uncle is a ninja....:ninja:

Arya ticked me off that she didn't kill the actress, was it a test? Did she pass? O_o

That high sparrow needs to be beat down, curious why Jaime didn't do it....

King Tommen needs to grow a pair and rescue Queen Margerie which is the hottest chick in the West.:-o

Daenerys finds her dragons and it is GAME ON!!!!! Next up Boats from the Iron Islands????

The old dude from the Red Wedding and Jaime will be fighting here soon. I can feel it in my plums....:-"

I had to look it up:
‘Game of Thrones': Tracking Every Valyrian Steel Sword We Know Of

Samwell, Jon Snow, Tommen, and Brienne have the only known swords on the TV series.

Also, I love how Cersei told Jamie hers would be a trial by combat and she has the Mountain. That will be fun.

With the series wrapping up and talks that the last "two" seasons may only be partials at that, they need to kick this high gear. They don't have a lot of time to dork around with scenes like Sam's (unless all of that was done to justify taking the sword, but still...) or WTF is going on in Dorne. They need to start tying this stuff together.

- Continued rebellion/ return of the Blackfish, Winterfell
- The Faith and the Crown back in King's Landing.
- Dany and her dragons
- The wall and the Walkers
- Jon Snow's parentage, Arya's next moves, Sansa beyond Winterfell
- The Iron Islands

And a butt ton of others.

A lot of this will weave together, but they are running out of time for smooth transitions.

It hasn't been revealed in the books who Coldhands was but there's a lot of theories that point toward him being Benjen.

As for Lady Stark, it's hard to tell purely because the Riverrun timeline in the show is all kinds of fucked up. Most characters timelines have moved beyond the books but for those involved in what happens at Riverrun, they seem to be playing catch up. With Jaime and Brienne both heading for Riverrun and with the Brotherhood Without Banners being mentioned in this episode, there certainly is an opportunity to introduce Lady Stoneheart, given what happens in the books when we last see Jaime and Brienne. I just wonder if the producers feel there may have been enough "dead but not dead" this series with Jon, The Mountain and Benjen?

They could fit a lot more in episodes if they stopped with the countless bullshit speeches from Dany. The last episode was ridiculous, "BRB I just found my dragon lol" followed by the insecure girlfriend speech for no good reason "You still love me right? And you're totally still ok with my plan? Because you really do love me don't you? Tell me you love me, please."

Her little adventure bored the tits off me in the books and the same is happening in the show now. Just get to fucking Westeros already.

I'm hoping the following happens or at least the characters involved have their particular "big moments" which are looming, resolved by the end of the season.

- I think Bran will bring the White Walkers through the Wall. He'll pass under the Wall with the Nights Kings mark on him and that'll break the spells which were held in the Wall. White Walkers will then either bring the Wall down or just breach the gates and smash up Castle Black before moving into the North proper.

- Jon Snow is gonna fuck up Ramsey.

- Arya is gonna gut The Waif and join that acting troupe.

- Margaery reveals exactly what it is she has cooking in Kings Landing.

- R + L = J will be confirmed.

- Cersei's trial by combat takes place... With the Hound being the Faiths champion, just so "Clegane Bowl" can happen :D

Cut her speech in half and it could be awesome, but yeah, the rest was kind of yawn inspiring or a solid bit of dialogue in a 90's coming of age movie.

What's the end state with Bran doing all of that?

I think that's the logical outcome there, and the emotional one, but if Hound 2.0 wins then Cersei's gone and I can't see her going just yet (and it crushes the prophesies about her kids unless Margaery makes a move on Tommen first....that would be sick). If Mountain 2.0 wins we have more of the same in Westeros. The way GRRM schwacks people the former is a good candidate, really upsets the balance of power, and renders the Lannisters all but moot, minus Jamie on a revenge tour/ death ride. The Tyrell army in KL can be used to stomp out the damn fanatics and sets us up for a real North vs. South war for the Iron Throne.

No. The Faceless Men are a cult of paid assassins. They got paid for the hit and she quit the whole fucking program. That's like dropping out of Recon the day before you get your Blood Wings and shitting on the CO's desk.

That high sparrow needs to be beat down, curious why Jaime didn't do it....

I'm betting Cersie has plans for the High Sparrow, more devious and sadistic than Jaime could ever imagine.

King Tommen needs to grow a pair and rescue Queen Margerie which is the hottest chick in the West.:-o

Tommen needs to borrow a testicle from Sam. Queen Margerie is smoking freaking hot and Tommen couldn't handle it with a truckload of Viagra and a penis pump.

Yeah, and I think Deanery's will put a spear up Euron's ass and take his ships.

If a woman owns a dragon you don't marry her, she marries you and you'll damn well be grateful.
