RoboCop: Rogue City.
Cool game. If you're a fan of the old films, you're probably gonna love it. Very faithful adaptation. Simple and straight forward but fun classic shooter.

Bungie, not content with its self immolation, decided to chop 17% of it workforce. Roughly 150 of those roles might go into Sony. The video game industry as a whole is hemorrhaging talent.

The industry went woke. Larry Fink, the head of BlackRock, also pushed a lot of the DEI garbage that's destroyed the industry. Before anyone calls me crazy, check out how much the gaming industry depends on external financing.

What's funny is years ago the industry going woke was mentioned here and certain members quashed the conversation. Something about it being homophobic, sexist, and transphobic. :ROFLMAO:

I'm hoping that the vast majority of the individuals fired were like this person.

I still can't believe they canned the guy who wrote the story for the best campaign Destiny has, debatably, ever seen. That said, bungie does seem to have a lot of Neo-Marx employees who are fairly active on Twitter, so if it's 99% those guys, I'm ok with cutting the chaff.

But until more individuals out themselves on social media as being members who were purged, it's gonna be tough to tell.

Artists in general tend to be like that for whatever reason, it isn't just gaming.

I found the above image and it seemed to apply lol.

That said, I agree that a lot of them tend to be left leaning across the board. Peterson actually mentions had a solid video about it, I'll just post the short one here:

I have some friends that are creatives, and the prime differentiator between the two types is work ethic. They all whine and complain, capitalism is evil blah blah blah, but some of them actually make an effort to work hard whereas the others are just free loading bags of shit.

If bungie is getting rid of the first type, that's a problem. If its getting rid of the second type that only contribute once in a blue moon, I couldn't care less and good riddens lol.

Depends on if they're still getting BlackRock money.

BlackRock adds diversity target for U.S. boardrooms

Dec 14 (Reuters) - Top asset manager BlackRock Inc (BLK.N), opens new tab on Tuesday said it wants U.S. companies to aim for a board that is 30% diverse and, for the first time, contains at least one member from an under-represented group.
In new guidelines explaining its priorities for 2022 at portfolio companies, posted on its website, the $9.5 trillion asset manager also gave companies new guidance for reporting on climate change. But it said some continued investment in fossil fuels will be needed.

Together, the updates showed the influential New York-based firm taking steps similar to other big asset managers pressing portfolio companies on environmental, social and governance considerations.

Earlier this month Goldman Sachs Group Inc (GS.N), opens new tab said it wants big companies to have at least one director from an under-represented group, citing the growing availability of corporate disclosures showing personal diversity data.

Boards have been bolstering their diversity by adding new members in recent years, in line with growing attention to the subject from investors, employees and customers.

Among S&P 500 companies, 21% of directors are either Black, Asian or Hispanic, according to executive recruiting firm Spencer Stuart. Women now make up 30% of all S&P 500 directors, Spencer Stuart said.

The number of U.S. companies disclosing the data likely will keep growing, a BlackRock spokesperson said. According to language sent by the spokesperson, directors from under-represented groups can include racial or ethnic minorities, people who identify as LGBTQ+, people with disabilities and veterans.

BlackRock's guidelines did not specify when it would vote against directors at companies that did not meet its new standards, but they indicated the focus would be on large companies first. A lack of diversity was a major reason the firm voted against more directors in 2021 than in prior years.

On climate matters, BlackRock previously had pressed companies to report their emissions and other factors under the SASB standards of the Value Reporting Foundation. BlackRock said on Tuesday that companies may use other standards, noting the work of a new international board announced at the United Nations climate summit in Scotland last month.

BlackRock also said it would encourage companies to show how their business plans would be resilient amid efforts to limit global warming, and noted the opportunities offered by new energy sources.
But it added: "We also recognize that some continued investment is required to maintain a reliable, affordable supply of fossil fuels during the transition." Companies should disclose how their capital allocation matches emissions reduction targets, BlackRock said.

On corporate structures, BlackRock said companies looking to convert to new forms should put the issue to a shareholder vote. Some companies are shifting to structures like "public benefit corporations" to take account of the interests of employees and other stakeholders, a move backed by a growing number of advocates.

Oddly enough I can no longer find the article where Fink gloats about creating and pushing these policies on the companies that took money from BlackRock.

Maybe those that do "Modern Art". The dudes that carved statues out of marble, designed grand cathedrals, and lifelike paintings aren't like the dysgenic weirdos we have today.

Those dudes were the liberals of their day.
Nah dude. Those guys were the geniuses of the day. Think Elon Musk. Not only did most old school artists have a classical education, that a included everything from the Bible to Greek texts, they were sound mathematicians and students of the natural world. These guys could speak multiple languages, read, write, and do math, on a higher level than the majority of the population.

Liberals today can't tell what gender they are. Something happened in the past few years where art has been bastardized.

or some weird abstract surrealist nonsense.

Yesterday evening I placed 1st on BF2042 with just 13 kills, zero deaths, 2 caps taken, 2 caps defended, and 17 revives.

I still don't understand how though. I wasn't camping and there were players that got way, way, more kills and other better stats than me minus the reviving. I do love playing medic.

Thanks for the update, but I don’t think that will work on my Mac. Besides, everyone knows the real action is on Xbox!

We all knew about your inclusion in the lesser race that is console gaming, but a Mac? You couldn't keep that to yourself?

The qualifications for a red tag are absolute dog shit these days. In my day that tag meant something.
Maybe, but back in your day when you had one of those, you knew how to stay on topic!

(Circa 2022)
Curiously, the thread isn’t about the Army or Army standards…

Don’t you try to steal my truth!
