Gaming thread

I like Monster hunter Stories and Stories 2. Stories 2 is the better game. I also like the Yakuza Like a dragon Game and Yakuza infinite wealth. PS4 & 5. Dragon Quest Echoes of an elusive age is also fun.

I have 1000s of hours in these games.

Re: Red Dead 2

Understand the slower pace may not be for everyone, but I’m on my 4th replay. First time to ‘really’ take it slow. Still in Chapter 3 and I’ve earned the bottomless satchel, have an assortment of all the cool outfits I want for snow, swamp, camp and town. All of the available legendary animals have long been slayed, and I’m now working my way through the fish. I’ve captured the dream catchers and created countless recipes over a fire.

I don’t think there are very many ‘points of interest’ left to find and after locating all of the cliff-carvings, got a kick out of that interactive payoff! At the cost of 1 rabbit, I got a nifty jacket from Pearson, found a pipe for Dutch, and gave Tilly Sadie’s necklace (which still bugs me a bit), and found a thimble for Jack. The is the first time I’ve paid attention to conversations at camp and truly interacted with them…to the point of finding the Micha glitch and riffing insults at him for about a minute before it finally timed out. I’ve paid attention to Jack’s dog a bit and last night accidentally walked into the ‘moonshine’ mission and poured free drinks for ungrateful townsfolk.

At some point I’m going to work through the treasure maps I’ve accumulated and then go ‘bone hunting’ as far as I can before having to pass the rest off to John. This afternoon I’m going to go steal some horses and burn a field, but I’m being careful not to get too far into ‘3’ as this is my favorite campsite and I want to stay here for quite a while longer before moving on.

Clemens Cove is the last camp where the gang still has some collective hope for the future, still actively cares about each other. Man I love this game.

It's certainly much slower than D4, but it's kind of refreshing. You can't just blow everything up and move down to the next map. It's MUCH more difficult and the depth of the mechanics blows Diablo out of the water. Some say it's not for casuals because of the time needed to invest into it. Is it worth the $30? Considering how much you paid for D4...Yes. Nobody knows when the full game is dropping, which could be 4, 6, or 12 months from now. You end up playing Act 1-3 twice and then you move into end game.

I started with a witch and the gameplay was bad. I then created a sorceress and it is like a completely different game.

@AWP i have a 42-ish level monk and I'm currently running a 37 level sorc that I started yesterday.

Jesus Christ. How are you leveling so fast? I have about 6 hours on my sorc and am only an 11 or something.
Play a Necro it's D4 easy mode. Lots of videos on speed leveling as well.

I haven't come back to D4 yet but I want to get me one of the mercs and try em out.

PoE 2, bitches.
Downloaded it last night the game's still in BETA.

Diablo 4 but worse and I don't really like D4 that much.

I'll play it a little more to see if it grows on me but at the moment it is just another dungeon crawler.

Since when does it require MANA to fire a crossbow? Yeah, same thing in D4 but come on man.

As they say… IYKYK

201-22 hours in PoE2 now. Took my sorc to the beginning of Act II and decided to replay Act I with a new character, a merc. The play styles are so very different between the characters and people talk about a witch being OP, but the mercenary makes her look weak. D4 has that variety, but PoE2 has more depth. his will be a really good game once it breaks out of early access. Hopefully they fix a lot of bugs and optimize the gameplay to prevent lag, hangups, crashes, etc.

So you'll play (Normal) A1, A2, A3 then (Cruel) A1, A2, A3 and then move into endgame. Endgame really feels like an entirely new experience. I played my sorc up to level 52 and then went back to my monk which is at 77 I believe.

You need to download an item filter. Youtube that one as I believe there are several out there.

You should also get familiar with the official trading website. That way you don't struggle.

POE2 has a great public party community which i highly suggest as well. Hit the social tab and then look for a party for the map you're on. You can also teleport to people by clicking their banner.

Considering I only paid $30 for the game, I couldn't be happier. To think, I bought the ultimate version of D4 AND the expansion pack, so I'm well over $125 in. D4 is nowhere near POE2 in terms of mechanics, The D4 the fit and finish has taken what, 7 seasons to un fuck itself? And it still sucks. I'll probably never buy another Activision game again, to include CoD.

I have NeverSink and started running it a few days ago. That is a huge help the higher I've gone in rank.

I have a ton of hours in D3 and D4 plus a fair amount of time in Lost Epoch and PoE1. I'd like to see PoE2's crafting scaled back a little but remain harder/ more varied than D4. One area where I think all of these games lack is material drops. Obviously you don't want to swim in end game aspects, but I think drop rates or sharding methods could have a better ROI than what we currently have in PoE2.

I'd love to see PoE2's build crafting depth brought to D4 which is kind of over simplified. Want a great D4 build? Farm these 3-4 bosses and grind XP. PoE2 feels like it has a ton of depth compared to D4.

It's complex, no doubt about it. Really, thats why i love it. It's not click and hold a spin to win barbarian until level 100 on a barb that you can do in 7 hours. POE is a puzzle to me which is what keeps my interest.

I've seen people in the in-game chat claiming PoE2 will leave early access in a few weeks. Problem is, the devs have said early access will last "at least" 6 months.

I'm loving Elon outing himself as a guy who pays people to play video games for him. His recent PoE2 livestream showed how utterly clueless he is about the game, yet he claims to have a level 97 hardcore character. Whoever he's paying has that character, Elon certainly didn't do the work. His Diablo 4 and Starcraft claims are obviously bullshit too.

Great job, Elon! Tool.

It's the dumbest shit. Elon could just have been like "I'm really into Diablo and RTS styled games" and he have gotten cool points from nerds.

But he has to be the busiest CEO in the world will also tweeting 120+ times a day and being a top ranked player in numerous different games and being at the top of political advising and....and....and...

It's just ridiculously insecure at this point.

1V1 me on Blood Gulch to prove you're a gamer Elon!!
