Anyone have an Xbox series X? MSFS 2024 drops soon and I am thinking of buying one. I haven’t bought a console since like 2016. I could build a computer but honestly don’t know anything about it, and from what I understand the MSFS is built to run on an X.

Did you buy MSFS 2024 yet? Reviews are overwhelmingly negative. Supposedly lots of bugs. If you have it, what's your experience been? If not, I'd consider sticking to X-Plane.

I played 2020, and I played a bit of DCS. I will wait till it stabilizes to buy it. I did buy an Xbox though.

I actually enjoy the new COD. I don't care about the whatever movement system because I'm old, slow, and still don't care. Lemme dump a mag, throw a frag, and kill a f...the other guy.

Seriously, I know COD is usually toxic. I just turn off the mic and ignore the clowns. I'm not into deploying UAV's or RC cars or whatever...just give me a gun and a frag grenade. I'm there to have fun. I think if a person wants to turn off their brains and have some fun, the game is good. The biggest problem if you play the tutorial is how much has gone into movement. No kidding, the tutorial is all about movement because the game is all about movement. Which is dumb.
If you want to turn your brain off at the end of the day, the current COD is good. I go in, play 3-5 matches, and then move on with life. A person fixated on PVP will have a different opinion.
I spend a shit ton of time playing games, but am rather casual in my approach to be honest. I have 6k hours in Destiny 2 and am still quite casual about the game.
It's not that CoD is toxic, it's that it's now just a trash game. Warzone went all fortnite with pay to win skins. I stopped having fun with it once the Gaia skin dropped in warzone. I think black ops cold war was the last decent game.

Just downloaded it tonight. We will see how long it takes to DL via Musk Net.
Edit: ok the game (MSFS 24) is small, only 10 GB. Download is already at 25% after only a couple of minutes.
As an aside, I just started playing Stalker 2. Fuck me, it’s hard. lol.

I bought it. It is unplayable without a keyboard and mouse. Also for some reason when you plug a HOTAs into it, it automatically inverts everything. It is a shit game thus far.
The last one it was impossible to fly helicopters on Xbox. At least the other airplanes flew. Loading the game has been slow. Hopefully it’s just a one time thing to get the game setup. I bought a joystick specifically for MSFS 2020 only to have my PC go tits up so it became a paperweight.

You have to change some setting of local memory. I turned mine to 200 and the game played faster. I’m not a virgin so I don’t remember what the settings were.

Is it as good as the reviews say?
It's certainly much slower than D4, but it's kind of refreshing. You can't just blow everything up and move down to the next map. It's MUCH more difficult and the depth of the mechanics blows Diablo out of the water. Some say it's not for casuals because of the time needed to invest into it. Is it worth the $30? Considering how much you paid for D4...Yes. Nobody knows when the full game is dropping, which could be 4, 6, or 12 months from now. You end up playing Act 1-3 twice and then you move into end game.
