It's complex, no doubt about it. Really, thats why i love it. It's not click and hold a spin to win barbarian until level 100 on a barb that you can do in 7 hours. POE is a puzzle to me which is what keeps my interest.I have NeverSink and started running it a few days ago. That is a huge help the higher I've gone in rank.
I have a ton of hours in D3 and D4 plus a fair amount of time in Lost Epoch and PoE1. I'd like to see PoE2's crafting scaled back a little but remain harder/ more varied than D4. One area where I think all of these games lack is material drops. Obviously you don't want to swim in end game aspects, but I think drop rates or sharding methods could have a better ROI than what we currently have in PoE2.
I'd love to see PoE2's build crafting depth brought to D4 which is kind of over simplified. Want a great D4 build? Farm these 3-4 bosses and grind XP. PoE2 feels like it has a ton of depth compared to D4.
