Ghost Recon Wildlands is 50% off on Steam right now.
Some jackhole gifted it to me, which required me to play. Gotta admit I was wrong about the game. It is a lot of fun. Especially co-op with friends. HUGE open world with plenty of missions and distractions to keep you busy. Think of Skyrim, but with cartels. Like you are living your own updated version of Narcos. If anyone wants to play along just holler. I am Currahee on steam

Conan Exiles is the adult version of Minecraft!
Perhaps. I'm more into the building and exploring aspects of Minecraft. I don't like having hostile mobs interrupting my building and trashing my stuff, so I play on Peaceful.

Sooooo......I did a purely selfish thing Wednesday...one of our dispatchers was selling some things...one was a Xbox One S (1TB) console system, selling it for 100 bucks. I have always loved the Halo games, but never played past what was available for PC, and since I am a Playstation player, never had the chance to play the rest of the Halo series.

So...bought the system and went and bought Halo Reach, Halo 4 and Halo 5 (used from Gamestop). Wife is our of town this weekend......Game On!!!

Steam Sale dates were leaked, the next one starts in two days.

The dates for the next 3 Steam Sales have been leaked | PC Gamer

Steam Halloween Sale: October 26, 2017 - November 1, 2017

Steam Autumn Sale: November 22, 2017 - November 28, 2017

Steam Winter Sale: December 21, 2017 - January, 2018

I have games I've never played, but my dumbass will still probably buy some DLC or a "new" game if the price is low enough.

ETA: if you're looking for a RTS, check out Northgard. I haven't played it a great deal, but the dev regularly updates the game and it is fun without being too serious or involved.

Good call. We play either on our LAN or on a server I set up for just our family.

It also provides another method of staying in contact, as the kid and I play via the internet when I am on the road on my breaks from driving the big rig.

Just got the server up to running FTB Beyond, that way I can fire up some quarrys and other automated stuff that will keep ticking away producing resources while I'm not online.

For you guys on the road a lot, if you don't have a laptop (but it's on there anyway) you could look into a game called Faster Than Light. The requirements are low and it has so much replayablility.

Nice! Two of mine are on their own (one out of state) and one away at school, so it's nice for us to be able to all play on our family server (which I need to set back up now that my desktop is running again).

FTB Beyond? I haven't gotten into the redstone stuff very much yet, although my youngest is pretty savvy with it. I just haven't had enough redstone yet to play with.

FTB Beyond brings in tons of machines and all sorts of odd crap that I don't even know half of it about.

Nuclear power. Solar power. Mining machines of various types. Power and materials movement conduits. Computers of various sorts. etc etc etc.

Humble beginnings for the midget and I...

So it's a mod? I have totally lost track of all of the new stuff in the vanilla game, never mind all of the new mods. I really need to get back to the forum and look around. I need to catch up on my snapshot archive, as well.

Speaking of humble beginnings, I started playing during the beta phase. I'm amazed at how much has been added to the game since then.

It's a compilation of various mods, bringing interesting things into the mix for all sorts of functionality.
