Gaming thread

For some reason, steam only counts when the FO3 launcher is open for play time.

For some reason I'm kind of pissed Steam isn't tracking what I actually spent on the game.

Holy shit, and I thought I played too much video games doing a couple hours a week..

I used to have a contracting gig where I could game 12 hours a day. I could bring my laptop into the workcenter and if nothing was going on, I was caught up on school work, etc., then I had the night to myself. I can't do any of that now, but I'm still overseas, wife's in the States, so I have a few hours after work each night to play if I want.

So...my dumb ass did the grind for Heir Apparent in the Guardian Games.

I'm kind of glad I did.

I'm mostly a PvE guy and love running the 21% Delirium machine gun. It is okay for bosses but just wrecks mid-tier yellow bars and under. Stack scavenger and reserve armor mods, and I can hold over 400 rounds; on some strikes I barely use a primary. Once I have ammo in Gambit, I can clear out blockers without many problems. Perfect Paradox, Recluse, and HA are money in Gambit.

Enter HA. You lose a second-and-a-half to spin it up, like 21% it is a 900 rpm MG, BUT it has better impact and range stats. The thing is ridonkulous in PvE.

I think GG ends with the reset on the 12th. If you aren't grinding by now you probably don't have enough time to finish the quest. If you're on the fence and kind of close, and like PvE, I'd invest the time. If you need anything from the forges, they are part of GG bounties so you can usually find someone playing.

I really need to go to bed, but first...I pulled up my Steam account. Some of these numbers seem awfully low to be honest. Anyway, Steam says...

Fallout 3 - 7.4 hours on the GOTY edition which is probably why it is so low, I didn't buy it as a GOTY.
Fallout NV - 252 hours (No freaking way it is this low)
Fallout 4 - 297 (probably right, but if anyone thinks I played FO4 more than FO:NV...wow)
Skyrim - 590 hours (there is no way it is this low)
Witcher 3 - 95 hours (sounds about right)

Destiny 2 - 1,036 hours since the Oct. 1 migration to Steam

CSGO - 2226
CSS - 786
PUBG - 779
Rocket League - 46

There are probably a fair amount of idle hours on the GO. I'd have to check the alt account for 1.6 but I'd guess a lot of idle hours on that as well.

Holy crap. That’s a lotta games!!

I looked that up earlier today. Next year seomtime is what's being forecast, but Blizzard hasn't said anything.

I'm a Diablo nerd. I was so hooked on Diablo 2 I'd buy gear for others just so they could help me Uber. Couldn't tell you how many hours I have played between 2 and 3, but there was a stretch in time where working wasn't a priority. My Guard bum days are over. Maybe.

I'm dabbling with 3 right now, kind of burned out on Destiny 2, so I'm dorking around in the Diabloverse. A lot has changed since I last played it about a year ago, so that should be neat once I level up my Crusader. (Though I'm usually a UE multishot DH).

The hype is real for Diablo 4, I've rediscovered my love for CS and Total Warhammer 2 has taken up my entire life right now.
