Super Sweet Movie Discussion Thread

I'm watching the Sicario sequel, Day of the Soldado. Lots of shooting, cool guy stuff, and no squeamish FBI lady to spoil the fun. Del Toro is a major badass.

I'm a bit annoyed at how they represented Edward II who is known in history for being a gayboy/soyboy.

Assuming he was not portrayed feminine enough for your tastes? (Gayboy/Soyboy?). Sheesh.

Anyway, this clip from Braveheart should be more to your liking.

Actually he was not but a sadistic killer. Hard to know the truth because little is known of his life. He had plenty of haters and some were who wrote history. Who really knows.

Well, I guess if I'm trying to be historically accurate you have to mesh the two portrayals to get something accurate. And @DC is correct, he was a sadistic/psychopathic killer, but that probably comes with being raised by Edward the Longshanks.

As I said, movie is pretty freakin' Dope.

Just saw it, pretty dope. Don't know enough to judge about accuracy but the setting, acting and action felt very authentic. More than most movies set in that period. Only classic problem I got with this one and literaly all other movies about medieval times, is that armor and clothing provide little to absolutly no protection whatsoever lol

Has anyone in here watched Mandy? It's one of the more recent Nicholas Cage movies.

The whole movie is a grindhouse flick; ultra violent, trippy, full of Nick Cage at his Nick Cageist.

In short; its awesome.
