Needed an escape, so I watched the new Matilda musical with the lady. Honestly, pretty solid if you're into that stuff. Nothing like seeing the asshole head mistress get her ass whooped.

Also, just saw this trailer. Has Hanoi Jane in it, but it looks hilarious. For all you Patriots and Brady fans.

The problem is that it has Jake Gyllenhaal in it. That guy sucks donkey balls and should NEVER be cast in military shows.

Because he's a shitty actor.

But, I'm not telling anyone how to feel about him one way or the other. Just stating my viewpoint...

He strikes me as a giant douche canoe; not the kind of guy I'd ever want to hang around in real-life; more ego than most, political and social views opposite of mine, among other things. And, again, he's a shitty actor. I don't know how or why he continues to be cast in these types of roles.

A Call to Spy, Netflix. Based on true story about employing women as SOE agents in France during World War II. I thought it was going to be a feminist/woke perspective, but it is well done, and well acted. Recommend.

Sometimes, as I sit quietly watching the world burn, I like to pretend that ‘that‘ is still the CIA of today…sadly, I am doubtful. If it were though, it would be the greatest example of subterfuge ever played.

I don't advertise it because it brings up questions, my first job out of college was with an intelligence agency*. I have zero doubt that the people on the ground actually during the work are still very much like the old school predecessors then we would be led to believe.

*I don't say anything about it because I was not there for very long, at all, because my mother had ongoing health issues and I had to move back to North Carolina to help take care of her.
