Saw Den of Thieves 2 last night. Overall, it's a worthy successor.
IMDB currently has it at 6.6 stars and that seems about right it's 6 - 7 range. It's definitely better than most of the other stuff out there (although that bar is fairly low) and it made me go back and re-watch the first one. It's worth your time and.
Watching Zulu with a young ( as we know him) Michael Caine. What a great film, especially the sight of the Zulu on the ridge and their sound like a freight train and thunder on their shields.
Hell ya!
I don't watch too many movies, but I have been a 007 fanatic since I was little kid. James Bond is my super hero. The franchise has been family owned and safely guarded from the beginning so this may be the end. I just hope it don't get stupid and lose it's originality maintained over all the years.
Amazon Gains Creative Control Over the James Bond Franchise
Bond is universal and that should never change. An orphaned white guy, alcoholic with some misogyny while also propping up women
If you don't mind me asking, why do you hate fiction? It's the opposite for me—I find nonfiction, except for military history and some other historical topics, absolutely boring. I'd rather read Gideon the Ninth than a book about building European railroads.I hate fiction. HATE fiction. I've read fiction from maybe 2 or 3 authors in the last decade.
Ian Fleming is underrated.
If you bother to read the books (America doesn't bother to read) you can appreciate the character and you see who he is and why he's that way. We glorify mobsters and serial killers, but Bond triggers people? Get the fuck out...
Don't turn Bond into someone he is not. Don't make him woke, gay, another race or ethnicity*, give him deep seated emotions, make him navel gaze over moral ambiguity or clutches pearls, etc. He is a man's man. Keep him that way.
* I heard a couple of names floated around, Idris Elba, etc. I don't hate it.
Tarantino and Bond would be wild.I found out that both Tarantino and Nolan were in the running to direct Bond movies at one point. Nolan didn’t get it and made the Dark Knight trilogy. Tarantino didn’t get it and made Inglorious Basterds. Both turned out ok, but man, what could have been.

I thought they Daniel Craig Bond series was really good. Did you not like them? Tarantino doesn't seem to be the right fit for Bond; it needs to be "smarter" than aTarantino film.I found out that both Tarantino and Nolan were in the running to direct Bond movies at one point.
