IIRC we nailed a Russian for spying a week or so ago. Individual crossed in from Mexico. Standard Cold War tit for tat.
Cold War II is up and running. I'm getting a little teary-eyed with all this nostalgia.

Break, break...you are an absolute to the core dumbass of a journalist if you think nations like Russia and China (and their proxies) respect journalists the way we do in the West. Fourth Estate, please. Better learn learn to play basketball and change yo' pronouns, son. "He/him" is soon to be "Arrested/ convicted."
Never is not accurate. For us, we never use journalists as spies (I know, I know....), so we assume no one else does, either.
Never is not accurate.
A journalist can be in an informal sympathetic relationship with an intelligence agency and provide information out of patriotism…not necessarily on the payroll.
There are a few journalists who are also patriots.
Bro. Sarcasm. LolNever is not accurate.
Many journalists are informal intelligence gatherers as they are unwitting participants. I believe some purposefully engage in espionage but I believe those are few and far between. Kind of anathema to western, mainly US, journalism standards.
Pro-Russian military blogger killed in St Petersburg cafe explosion: reportsTatarsky was participating in an event at a cafe in Russia's second-largest city when he was killed. Russian media says a woman gifted him a figurine at the event that exploded a few minutes later, killing him and injuring 15 others. Tatarsky was a major proponent of Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
