The Russian Army also has suffered catastrophic losses. This war has been a meat grinder. Didn't we talk about the numbers on the high side being likely false? Because if those are Ukrainian losses...the Russian losses are double that.

It's curious how the Ukrainians have so many more lost than the Russians, given the Russian are A: on the offensive and B: have reverted to tactics last used against the Nazis. The source, also, is rather questionable--Russian hackers digging into a Ukrainian database? All just believable enough to be plausible, right?

Additionally, and assuming Mr. Swann’s account is not run by some slimy Commie turd, Mr. Swann appears to be supportive of the more Libertarian ideals the MAGA side of the house has espoused; I can see why he'd support this report's legitimacy, as it supports Mr. Swann's "we don't care what you do, keep us out of it / peace at any cost / end it now" approach.

During WWII the Japanese and Germans were quite meticulous with their record keeping. Some of the stuff Japanese researchers are finding in their archives is mind blowing in scope and detail.

Soviet losses in Afghanistan are still being revised. The previously accepted standard of 20k is in the rearview in favor of 30k-ish with some going as high as 37k.

And we really think we have solid numbers for this conflict? Okay.

I agree with the overall theme that we don't have accurate reporting in any sense on any topic in any regard.

At this point in the war, the truth is pretty finite. More truthiness than COVID, but that's a low bar to clear.
